One piece without context is like an after credit scene when you’ve never heard of the franchise, you don’t know what anything means or what’s going on

The reason whitebeard confirming the One Piece is real, is important is because before that many ppl in the One Piece world were doubting that it was actually real
And context makes these moments even more cold and badass,
just like how u felt it for the walk since u had already watched arlong park.

You can't watch the best moments of a series and then keep questioning because you never saw it from the begin...it doesn't make sense
By the time of marineford, fans and in unverse citizens didn’t know what the one piece is that everyone thought oda was just trolling and it’s friendship along the way, so tho you don’t see significance in whitebeard words everyone back than saw that as a relief and motivation for fans and pirates in universe
What makes that first one hit harder is that Luffy didn’t need to dodge the bullets. He’s made of runner.
He was giving off that menacing aura and dodging bullets to flex before the hit. And by Gods Above and Below, was it a glorious strike!
The katakuri one is hard because he normally hides his face because he was made fun of his "ugly face" since childhood and not even his own family has seen his face until a certain moment when he lashes at one of his sisters for sabotaging his respectful duel with luffy(she tranqed luffy making him unable to dodge and avoidable attack) . He's then stabs himself in the same spot he stabbed luffy and is made fun of his ugly face by his sister and her army. Luffy putting the hat over him is not because he's dead, but out of respect. I genuinely think in the future he would lead a group that would aid Luffy in the final battle.
Ngl, Sanji's "I needed a light" moment should have also been on this list, if Luffy's ringing the bell moment without its context was on this list.

She screamed Lucy because that was his nickname in the Colosseum
he pulled up to the marine headquarters after the war to save ace had ended beat the marines on duty and the bell symbolizes respect for the pirates who died trying to save Ace and for Ace himself ( it was a ceremony on marine grounds for dead pirates)
Yes and no. It was partially to show respect to the pirates who died, but it was mainly done to show that a new era was upon them.
Also, yes and no. Yes, that’s what he and Rayleigh expected everyone to think that’s what it meant. In reality, it was just a ploy to get everyone’s attention so he could get his message to the rest of his crew
If you haven't seen these episodes then you don't know how badass these moments were. This reaction is pointless.

Luffy ringing the bell is an amazing moment when you have the context, if you're not reading the manga or watching the anime tho, the moment is kind of "whatever" 🤷🏻 could have picked Sanji's "i needed a light" moment or maybe Luffy when he told Kaido "i thought you couldnt bleed?" 😂🔥
