    I know nothing about these machines and I am suffering from the rust after years working at sea and can't use a shovel any longer. These look like just the job and you come across as a real expert. Super review!

    Nice video Ollie. Always been happy on Kubota micros. Really trustworthy machines. Glad to see they've progressed onto having servo's, they definitely make a huge difference for your back when doing a full days work!!

    Another great video Ollie 👍 looking forward to the E10 review and hopefully the Sunward micro - would be interesting to see how it performs for the lower price compared with the mainstream micro's. Well done 👏

    Great vid, thansk. The Swedish version of this is yeah S30 and a powertilt. Fairly quick and can do a bit more.

    As always, very thorough,. I was looking for a similar review of an e10 to see what you are comparing to but could not find one, I would love if you could do one for the e10 at some point. thanks.

    GREAT VIDEO. Thanks for sharing. I've thought about someday buying one of these and put a push mower where the bucket goes to mow walking trails...

      Well that's one way to do it I guess, but surely there's got to be something better out there for that?

      @Olliegunns Probably but not much out there would be easier to use though.

    Snog, marry or avoid? Yes, will put this on my customer's review form - much better than smiley faces! Great review - daren't show this to one of my guys - he'll be nagging to get one forever! I do have a view that where access is that tight take the fence down and agree some work with the neighbour - or avoid. 750mm rubbing up against a brick wall is asking for trouble and what if you get the machine stuck? We have a really odd shaped patio, 40m², with no access - hand dig, no thanks, but a new fence and section of path for the neighbour is the different between a workable and enjoyable job and a nightmare. This does sound like a perfect little machine, I think you have the JCB equivalent though?

    I'm a big fan of compact gear. I have had a volvo ecr25d which you have previously reviewed. I now have a cat 302.7crd which I personally think was a big upgrade. hope you get your hands on a similar cat, it would be fun to hear your assessment of it 😜

    • @Olliegunns
      @Olliegunns  Рік тому

      Is that the new generation 302.7? Or the previous one that I believe was a tie up with Wacker Neuson?

      @@Olliegunns the one i have is 2020 model so these are wacker connections. the new generation looks fantastic so I hope you get your hands on this one too 😏

    Hi, I am getting into the world of excavators. We do backwater valve installations on main exterior drains and waterproofing. Out of the ECR18 ELECTRIC, ECR25 ELECTRIC, JCB 19C-1E, and the Kubota KX015-4 which one would you get. I would like to be able to pass gates where possible. Is getting the machine around buildings an issue for you for waterproofing. I would love to hear your opinion. ALso would you consider tilt rotators for these small machines?

    you might wanna try Case CX14D or CX12D: no center console worry, all controls on the joystick including aux, roof option and 1,5t performance ...definitely leading the developments in this size class

    This looks very similar to the CAT 300.9D just that the joysticks are next to you instead of on the pod out front

    • @Olliegunns
      @Olliegunns  Рік тому

      Its a bit bigger than the CAT/ Wacker Neuson micro. That machine goes much narrower than this Kubota but also doesnt open out as wide and is a conventional tail machine. I liked the CAT when I drove it but to be honest, all those older micro's with the stick out front need to catch up and get servo's like the Bobcat, Kubota and Takeuchi have now.

    So would you say the bobcat is better? More space, expanding levers, however I'm a kubota man tbh, not sure which one to buy, kubota is£ 750 cheaper extra bucket more warranty, bobcat has good finance deals on and it has the reliable kubota engine 😊 any thoughts please

    • @Olliegunns
      @Olliegunns  11 місяців тому +1

      I think the Kubota is a better machine, drives like a machine much bigger than it is, the digging geometry is much better than the Bobcat and it has better load over height too. You mentioned the downsides to the Kubota, and it would be nice to have the roll cage behind you like it is on the bobcat, and also the lever pods that narrow down with the tracks, but for me, these are minor faults on what is otherwise a superb machine

    The Takeuchi TB210R is a better machine I feel, more dig out forces plus the rop bar is behind you, giving you better view of the job and adds a counterweight too.

    • @Olliegunns
      @Olliegunns  Рік тому +1

      I haven't driven the Takeuchi but its on my list. I do know someone who loves Takeuchi's and bought one when they were first released to replace his Bobcat E10 - but soon sold it and went back to the Bobcat. Said the Takeuchi was too big for a micro - I assume he meant overall footprint because it narrows down to 750mm like this Kubota. I'd love to try one though and put it through its paces on a job.

      Same engine in both and I believe breakout forces are almost exact. Currently looking at a Takeuchi 210 and Kubota U10.

    I’ve rented one of these for the day but I can’t get it started, I’ve checked the kill switch, I’ve tried with the arms up and the arms down, I’ve moved every lever. Am I missing something? It’s a brand new rental machine and I know it’s been running because they loaded it onto the trailer.

    • @Olliegunns
      @Olliegunns  Рік тому

      When you turn the key can you hear the fuel pump ticking? I suspect it has an immobiliser on it, maybe a keypad that needs a code entered before it will start? I’d call the rental company - it’s there machine!

      @@Olliegunns It was the main isolation switch in the engine compartment, I didn´t think about it as I knew they had loaded it onto the trailer that morning! Oh well you live and learn. Thanks for the reply anyway mate

    run various micros ,starting with the jcb ( awful machine) ,then hanix H09D one of the first with servos ( good micro) running two at the moment Yanmar SV08 which at 680mm is the smallest on the market,cant fault the machine excellent build quality and amazing power for such a small micro,the other micro is a Kobelco SK 10SR which at 750mm wide cant get in some places the yamar can ,in my opinion there is not another micro on the market that can touch the kobelco ,its great build quality and power wise it could hold its own against a lot of 1.5 ton minis,
