Mata Nui versus Tuma fight with Enhanced Music Track

- A lot of fans (myself included) have complained about the new Bionicle movie, The Legend Reborn's less than stellar musical score, and how it's a step back from the epic music of the previous three films.
But in reality, it has a handful of decent tunes, but most of the time, they're too silent to hear. So I took this infamously bad scene from the movie, and turned up the music volume a bit (with the help of the nearly dialog-less recording of the Czech dubbing), to see whether it would make the surprisingly slow-paced fight seem a bit more intense. As a result, some of the dialog may be hard to hear, but that's what you should be concentrating on. Rather, focus on the music you might not even have noticed.
Or maybe it's just my faulty audio settings, and you could hear everything perfectly. In that case, tell me this video is pointless, and I will delete it.
The video clip, music, and characters belong to Universal, Tinseltown Toons, and The LEGO Corporation. I do not claim to own them, merely that they could be better. :D
Tuma in the books/comics: Machiavellian mastermind who is also a badass warrior who cares about the wellbeing of his people, not his own pride
Tuma in the movie: Showboating idiot who's a glorified flunky for Metus and loses to a guy who has had about 2 days of fighting experience.
I'm currently working on a fanfic idea for Bionicle, and I think that Tuma would make a great main villain, and in my story, he WILL be more like how he is in the book. ;)
Eli Burry-Schnepp What's the name of the book/comic?? I want to buy it
This is nothing new to Bionicle movie adaptations. Onua in the books/comics: the wisest of all six Toa, surpassing even Gali, knowing the potential of the Toa but sometimes even staying silent in the presence of disaster and mistakes, hoping his friends will learn from them.
Onua in the movies: A loud bulky idiot who unknowingly destroyed his own city.
Yeah.
In "Empire of the Skrall", Tuma is forced to give Metus control over the Skrall and Bone hunters in exchange for valuable information about the Baterra, who threaten the Skrall's survival. Tuma hates Metus. He would kill him in an instant but he can't.
But bro he’s Mata Nui
It always bugged me that the movies had pieces that weren't released with the sets.
I'm more bugged that many of the 2009 sets were missing in the movie
Hey, i am the real Teri here.
yeah
@@Frigid_Kev same
Yeah stupid thornax launchers are more important than that
-Hello There
-General Nui
Fun fact: tuma never died, it is unknown what happened to him, so if he wants a rematch with mata nui he'll wait a long time
What happened is that he continued to live without any support from his tribe, and then he moved to Spherus Magna, with everyone else.
Deikaeus he'll never get that rematch
My personal guess is that he probably joined the Dark Hunters to take his revenge against the Toa and the Glarorian.
I always thought he died
@@SpeedorzPlazaTurbo I can understand that, he never really served a purpose in the story after his fight with Mata Nui, though I do believe he could be like a sort of Darth Maul character after the Bionicle series ended should Mata Nui return, constantly trying to get back at Mata Nui for being exiled until his lust for revenge leads to his undoing
It seems like Tuma is spending more time talking about he will destroy Mata Nui than he is actually destroying him.
Jack McMorrow I know right
It's a shame the air went out of this fight so quickly and so hard, because 0:21-0:45 is actually pretty badass.
"I'm going to enjoy tearing that fancy mask from your face!" is admittedly badass
Oh my god YES I WATCHED THIS WHEN I WAS A KID !!! THANK YOU !!
Poor Berix, he scavenged for broken equipment to fix it, but many Agori thought he was a thief :(
Funny, how no one knows Mata Nui is the name of an island and that he's wearing the Mask of LIFE
To be fair, he was on a completely different planet, so I can understand them not knowing-
The island of mata nui no longer exists by this point
@@kojeb people still watching this? XD
@@MasterHusi0909 you are too lol
Mata nui also has a brother.
Does anyone think Berix sounds like Johnny Test?
HuggyWuggyPie Studios They're voiced by the same actor. He also ended up voicing Obi-Wan in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Yes, and of course... Teridax and Pewku are Bling-Bling Boy and Pohatu and Nuju are Dukey as well.
So yeah, I'd say I gave y'all a grim reminder to the fandom on the overhated cartoon itself.
No wonder Berix is so goddamn annoying.
@@makutamiserix5612 He's also Wooldoor Sockbat from the NSFW cartoon Drawn Together.
@@kc_9970 Oh, don't remind me of that.
He's just knocked out, but the movie never makes it clear.
The baterra are a sore spot for most skrall. In this case, quite literally.
"Thank you Mata Nui, but your friends are in another castle." Rofl xD
Here’s a fun fact Tuma was voiced by Fred Tatascoire in this movie.
AW SHIT, HE'S GOT MATA NUI DOWN IN HIS SIGHTS RIGHT NOW.
(jk, overwatch joke aside, this is completely ridiculous.)
So...uh..did Stronius keep moving around in the crowd? As far as I'm aware he's the only Skrall of his kind..
+Stone Keyboard No, Stronius is an elite Skrall warrior. Although the elite Skrall are rarer then the regular Warrior class Skrall, there was still a lot more than one.
Stronius is the only known one to earn a name, but the Special Forces Skrall are a full unit, not just him
Never mess with Mata Nui.
I feel like Mata Nui is like Master Chief in sense
I was thinking the same thing.
"ARROWGENSE CUN TAPPEL GIENTS" -Mata Nui
Kaiser Dragon He thought he could bring down the mighty Tuma.
I fully agree with that.
I realized only recently how much the musical score of a movie matters to me (despite the fact that I don't listen to music in my freetime), and that Furst's score is one of the few things I really liked about the first movies. It's one of the few things I found to reach way above the standards of such direct-to-video movies.
It's a pity that's not the case with this movie, but what can you do?
Imagine: Tuma vs Makuta...ouch
Makuta would own Tuma in less than a second.
CT-2068 yeah cause Makuta would use his shadow arm that is coming out of his chest and grabs tuma into his chest which instantly destroys him as a result
Makuta would wipe the floor with Tuma.
I had both toys as a kid
HF didn't really have a part in Bionicle's canceling, it had more to do with the toy sales getting worse.
Glad to see someone try and up the audio on this scene because when I watched it I felt it was the most anti-climactic part of the movie, and I wondered if it was the audio.... ultimately I think the audio had a role in it, though even with the upped volume I found it lacking. But mainly the battle itself was choppy and boring (all the times Tuma would hit Mata Nui down and then turn around and brag to the audience mostly).
Glad to be able to put this one to bed!
Barrix: The Ultimate David Spade Bionicle
Worf vs Megatron. epic.
More like Worf VS. Soldier 76 that is...
OPTIMUS VS MEGATRON
Mata-nui: It's a tumor!
Arnold Shwartzeneger: IT IS NOT A TUMOR!
‘This can not be. I am the mighty Tuma.’
When the music sounds like it's in the ocean, but the rest of the audio is HD
I wish i never saw that. I thought Tuma is a freaking transformer killing machine with 6 slaughtering hands
Oh your right, damn I bought Tuma for my cousins birthday and I could have sworn that set had the shield, oh well thanks for clearing that up for me
@Vrahno
this fight lasted about 4:05 minutes. The final battle in ordeal of fire lasted about 2 seconds.
Never forget: that one scene after the Tuma fight with Berix on a Rock Steed and sounding like a horse.
Rock steed is reptilian it should have sound like a t rex.
@@AlanNguyen12398fghj Should've made look like a mix of a Pachycephalosaurus or a Stygimoloch or Dracorex if you'd ask me.
Correct.
The mighty Tuma!
I may know the reason why toy sales are getting worse, it's because of our modern technology, kids these days they have these iPhones and etc. And I'm pretty sure that all kinds of toys will disappear. When I was 5 I got my 1st cellphone and it was Nokia cellphone and u couldn't do anything with it except call to some one and stuff like that, and the funny thing is that kids these days can buy all kinds of apple etc and back in the days we couldn't even buy a bionicle that cost 10$ or 10e :D
pride comes before the fall
"It's NOT a Tuma! It's not a Tuma at all."
2:32 "Really think he could bring down the mighty Tumor!"
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa... They're much easier and much appropriate ways teaching kids about cancer than making a villain literally call himself the mighty tumor.
@@CT-Irodion Lol its Tuma, but I always heard it as Tumor
MATA NUI PLEASE COME BACK PLEASE MY CHILDHOOD IS DYING I NEED YOU HOMIE
Ohh man that sweet matanui sword as an actual piece wouldve been beautiful
Tuma is one of my favourite bionicle caracters of all time
Makes me wonder if lego made this battle just for the kids who have a "tuma" to give them hope!
Mata nui= optimus prime
Tuma= megatron
1:27 - You realize that Greg Farshtey said that if the Ignika was torn off Toa Ignika or Mata Nuui, the body would disintegrate? Good thing Tuma sucks.
@heiliczer Then you didn't miss out on anything special, however I'd say even that single episode is miles better than the first four regular Hero Factory eps combined. It's fast paced, has a decent story, and actually explains the motives of the villains. It's not bad, just... average.
So much for the Skrall Leader.
Greetings from 2021
why didnt they just used the thornux launcher 😐😐😐😐😐😐
reasons
Deby fu Alcantara it’s been two years but plot
Tuma terrified me back then
We fight together
I love this scene
@Raptorman0205 There wasn't much of a story left. And I thought that even though 2010 was rushed, Journey's End was one of the best stories i've read.
Actaully, Tuma's set did come with the green skrall shield
@Raptorman0205 True, true. Still, the story execution leaves a lot to be desired in both cases.
@HarryBillyBobGeorge
yeah, i still have to admit, things kinda started going down hill (story wise) right about here.
Soundtrack isn't too bad... but unfortunately, it's average. Because of how average it is, many people deem Tuma pathetic and this battle unimpressive.
Had Tinsletown Toons been smart and hired Nathan Furst instead, even if visually this scene remained unchanged, Furst's epic score would have likely made Tuma seem far more intimidating and this battle far more climatic. Just by changing the music.
Still, at least the music's not bad. Just wish it were better.
Whoa!! I just realized Berix has the voice of Johny Test!!
he was when he was in his own body makuta is now
Different worlds. Plus they named the island after him.
2:34 the mighty TUMA!!!!!
I remember his voice being deeper
amazing!
I haven't even seen this movie yet, and the movement for the characters already looks terrible.
They're too static, they just stand there as straight as ever right after they've taken a blow. In Bionicle 3, they moved in a sort of natural rhythm.
And the Bionicle 3 soundtrack was pretty hard to beat.
@Raptorman0205 Only because the Greg master was involved more.
Now tuna is dead
Fine, next time I'll think it twice before I make fun of a TOY.
3:40
this just sucks. No wonder we had the novelization.....
good music , i hope some one can get only music
I have from this movie Kiina, Ackar, Berix and Atakus
he only had a black brutaka sword and a thornax launcher xp
Its not a bad film in my opinion. oh and its set in the future or the present not the past.lol.
I got the Tuma toy today.
Green Skrall shield
I’m just sad they didn’t use enough thornax launchers in this film
Oh me' back
I remember this as a kid being so sick But now that i look back and think thats its lame as hell
@Raptorman0205 So then this is worse, because the suckyness lasts longer.
Yeah, and actually develop the bad guys. That's the one thing The other 3 had, is that they develop heroes and villians, not just heroes.
I think its cause most brutes in stuff like these not very smart things and i think the bad fight was part of the plan cause mata nut used tumas showing off so mata nui can find tumas weak spot without being hit.
@Raptorman0205 How about saying they both sucked?
Hey guys guess what I saw mascot from emgo
I kinda love how more people know Stronius from this Transformers reviewer than from actual Bionicle.
cool!!
@HarryBillyBobGeorge
book wise?
Even if so, Heis still awesome, isn't he
What is the Music from and what’s it’s called?
2:05 mata nuis head jumps!
So the movie took place after Makuta winning.
Did this pathetic weakling really believe he could bring down the mighty TUMOR?!!!
Mata Nui: Yes.
(Mata Nui hits it 3 times and kills Tuma!)
I am manna of mata nui.
I DIE DOH
Mata Nui, Wins!!
Gladiatoral Fatality!!!!
wow ennyi zene volt benne? hiba volt elhalkítaniuk

3:13 press x rapidly
Not bad!
mata nui is a cheater! he's turning tuma's life counter to the skull!
Surprisingly not as many trolls as I assumed there would b :o good music btw
tuma:yessssssssssssssssssssss?????
ROFL i laughed at that!!
I am still confused, did Tuma really die? Or was he unconscious?
Didn't die
