I didn’t know you had two different channels. Buzz’s retirement garage but me on to it. Seen all your retirement videos. Now I got a new selection, I guess I didn’t have enough of Steve 😂. Seriously, I love your content.
Just a junk channel. Talk about whatever hits me at the time. Started this one a year before the retirement corner as my retirement hobby. Kind of strayed from retirement and just did whatever. Very little crossover but a lot of fun for me. Don't expect a whole lot. Thanks. and take care. Steve
We have so many Maple's here and the helicopters are flying around like crazy in this wind today. Actually hitting the windows kinda hard. Good looking garden!
About finished here. That just means more work for me. Have to get up and clean the gutters. UGH. The garden always looks nice for the first couple months then I get lax in taking care of it and everything just goes to pot. Lazy gardening. Chair height and sorry farmer. Good thing it's a hobby I'd hate to have to live off what we grow. Thanks. Steve
Growing a bigger garden now being retired. My oldest used the H and two bottom plow to make a couple parallel 200' lines. Going to grow vine crops towards the inside and my tomatoes and such to the outside. Bring retired makes this possible!
Man that's almost as long as my whole yard. My Granddad had a big garden like that. He also had a family farm. I never had a row longer than about 40 feet. My wife would go nuts with that much to plant in. Would love to have some watermelon and sweet corn. Take care. Steve
How many sacks of Lowe's topsoil to fill one of those raised beds ? You ever grow potatoes in the Lyincat bags ? I have a bunch of them, hope the sack won't impede tater growth.
I start with 2 1.5cu.ft. bags and adjust from there. Depends on how high my bottoms are filled sometimes 3. Next year after it settles and before I plant I top it off. Saves on startup cost. This Spring I got Miracal Grow Raised Bed soil 2 for $10. Half priced. Lowes has them for $7.50 each now, regular $10 a piece. Had potatoes last year in some. They did pretty good. I would suggest filling them with soil and not having a bottom layer of leaves like I did just to save a buck. Give it a try. Good luck. Steve
