I know that you imply that you overthink quite a bit and so, being so free with your streams of consciousness processing while not editing everything out to make things seem "perfect" is refreshing. This was such GOOD advice! I also love to see her REAL Life situations. Such as the fly in the bathroom or the phone falling from the dash. Others would edit that out. I love the genuiness of it all.

Hi Jess! I’ve been married 2 years and even while dating and engaged my husband and I split the holidays split the holidays with our family. My family is HUGE for Thanksgiving and we always go to my g-moms in NY, though the last 2 years we’ve been blessed to host. So for Christmas his family is HUGE on that holiday. So for Christmas we spend the morning with my mother and sisters and then the afternoon/evening with his family. It has worked every year for us and we wouldn’t change a thing
My neighbor's dog used to bark a lot. I bought a "bark training " thing from Amazon and put it outside. It makes the dog whistle sound when the dog barks, but humans can't hear it. Me and the dog have been friends for years.

Hey Jess. The whole splitting holidays things, we actually never discussed but what worked for Thanksgiving (the main one) was his immediate family always did the day after where mines came together on that day so it worked.

Hey girl, loved the vlog! Just a little advice on the roast…cook it in the oven on 325 for 4 hours and baste it at the 2hr mark. Slow cooking in the oven will cook it to perfection and also allow time for the fat to render down and flavor the meat even more. My favorite roast cut is the chuck which it looks like that’s what you had. If you decide to try it in the oven, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! 😋

I love Christmas so I asked that we always celebrate Christmas at home. We also have a 4-year-old and I wanted her to be home for Christmas to enjoy these 50 11 trees her grandmother puts up. Anyone from either side of our family is free to come and celebrate with us for Christmas. Thanksgiving is our move around holiday. Could be with his family or mine, home or away, but ideally, we would alternate years with his family and mine for Thanksgiving. I know other couples who split holidays, Thanksgiving with his family, Christmas with her family.

You can always ask your neighbor to bring the dogs in the house if they are excessively barking. Or when you have company when the back yard is finish give them heads up on time and see if they can compromise.

Hey girl I have that same exact croc pot and it never cooks my pot roast in under 10hrs even on high. Try putting your pot roast in the oven on 400 degrees for about 4.5 hrs. It always comes out perfect! 👌🏾

The 1st 2 years of our marriage his mom & sis came to my folks for Thanksgiving, then they just stayed home after that & we always split the day for Christmas. Mid morning/afternoon at my folks then back to our house for dinner with my in-laws….It’s exhausting lol
