  • Brian gets a surprise gift of Enchroma sunglasses that lets him see colors for the first time!
Yes, I understand many prefer that the kids were more quiet. But kids get very excited and obviously wanted to understand what I was seeing that was so amazing to me. Kids are curious. Of course. Too many comments on the kids. Please be kind and understanding. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I’m so happy that everyone in my family was there for me that day.
For my Spanish friends that requested translation:
Hola.

Exactly - not disciplining kids is how you get them to fail later in life. Kids need to be taught that they need to shut up sometimes or else it'll come back to bite them later in life when they haven't developed proper social etiquette (not learning *when* to shut the fuck up).

    • @stewrmo

Amen! Not gonna lie, when I see lots of kids on these videos I think "ahh hell". I know they don't understand what's going on, and having your kids next to you for important events must be beautiful, but they are more excited by the balloons lol. If it was me I know I would want to do this myself, giving me time to get used to them. Then again, I am a grumpy, anti-social bugger. So I'll say to the family, I love these videos, congratulations on them working, you have a beautiful family. Love from Scotland.

As he said, red looked like a muddy brown before, and people looked colorless, since he couldn't see the red undertones to skin. Others who've tried them marvel at how much more detailed everything looks, since they're seeing shades of color for the first time. I can't imagine living in a sketch of life. Videos like this, where there's numerous people telling the poor guy, "Look at this, look here. Look at the balloons, do they work, do they work? And, I wanna see, I wanna see". Sheesh, give the guy a few moments to relax and adjust to his surroundings. Allow HIM to enjoy his present and to see beautiful colors.

I know this might sound weird but you are LUCKY because you get to see colour for the first time. :) Lots of people that are born seeing colour don't appreciate it and they might as well see grey. I was poor all my life growing up, so I never got to go camping in nature which is something I always pondered about. My husband finally took me when I was 30, and since it was the first time camping, every sense for me was extreme and I didn't want to leave. Most people think I'm crazy because it shouldn't be such a big deal but I was so happy, appreciating everything most would complain about haha. I was like a child swimming in the lake, boating for the first time, waking up in a tent, being scared of bears :P I was so happy because I never had experiences like that. So you are blessed. Jesus loves you, have anice blessed day :)
