I imagine the process would be the same. I havent seen a kit for extending the "X" axis. The problem I see, is that the "Z" axis spindle assembly rides on the 2 round bars and is completely dependent on them for support. Extending them in length will make them weaker and subject to deflection and vibration making your project much less precise.
I had trouble I’m finding parts to do it I all ready had crap load profile so just ended up buying longer t8 thread rod and did away with the smith rods on the y axis for liner ralles just a attached them strat to the 20x40 side frames lot stronger no flex at all no wehgit at all on the threaded drive rod

Good lord. The volume levels in this video are all over the place. Nearly woke up the dead at one point and another I had to pop in a hearing aide.
