I think he means that life generally goes on. It is not correct that we do not care. If we did not care, why would we try to provide for or brothers and sisters in need. Just because you don't mourn about for the rest of your life, it does not mean you did not care or love that person. My aunty passed away over 5 years ago now, but I still think about her a lot. I often talk about her with my mum and brother. I like to remember her. I have continued to live my life, but I still think about her. It is still hard to believe that she is gone. Alot of Christians also carry on with life after the death of a loved one. That does not mean that they did not care about them or don't miss them. People who are unable to continue on with their life are actually sometimes advised to see a therapist. I do understand though what and impact it can have on a person's life, and why this might have an effect on them for the rest of their own life. I feel sympathy for them. Do expect people to continue with life after tragedy or greif. We also believe that if the person who passed away was a good person, they enter a much better place. They are being rewarded, and for this, we feel happy for them, not over the fact that they have passed away.

Will she have a reward if I give in charity on her behalf?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Yes.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari, no. 1388; Muslim, no. 1004)
And it was narrated by al-Bukhari from Sa’d ibn 'Ubadah that his mother died when he was absent, and he said: “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died when I was absent. Will it benefit her if I give in charity on her behalf?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “I ask you to bear witness that my garden that bears fruit is given in charity on her behalf.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 2756)
With regard to Hajj , the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to one who asked him about Hajj: “Don’t you think that if your mother had a debt, you would pay it off for her?” She said: “Yes.” He said: “A debt owed to Allah is more deserving of being paid off.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 6699; Muslim, 1148)
Muslim scholars agree that the benefits of du`a, praying for forgiveness, giving sadaqah jariyah and Hajj reach the deceased. The best way to benefit your dead father is to make a lot of du`a for him.

@xJoness His delivery was cold and misleading. He is being flippant regarding the significance we all play in our loved ones lives. The nature of human attachment leads to a feeling of significant loss when a loved one dies. Them moving to a better place or not does not change the significance they played in our lives. Yes, life goes on. You learn to live with the sadness and continue your own life adventures. If you had a secure attachment to your loved one, the feeling of loss remains, and you miss them.

@@user-od1fm3hs9c I look at a loved one dying as a test from god. The emotional connection is still there of course, but the purpose of Muslims is to submit our will to god. You might not be Muslim I'm not sure, but in our views a loved one dying is a good thing, it's not cold if you have a strong connection with your Lord. The purpose we seek in our religion is to please our lord, family comes second. That why I said your existence is only temporary, because you don't owe yourself to your family, and the memories you created, but to the creator who you will soon return to.

A few might pop up in your mind for a few minutes, you reminisce and go back to your daily life. Some days more, some days not at all. You can't possibly be thinking about dozens of people you knew and reminisce all day. Stop being dramatic. THAT was the point of this video. Other than your immediate family (even then), you eventually become a fleeting random thought, if at all.

I'd rather have those I care about be able to keep their smile(laugh) after my death, and go to school or work even without me there so that they can continue to learn and provide for their family. My point is to be loved, missed, and remembered is better than *and* still possible even if ur family carries on with ur life(as they should btw). Honestly idk if ur a true man because u want ur kids and wife to completely be broken cuz of ur death and always be giving it attention.

*Benefical message to anyone whose parents or closed one passed away* 🥀
The Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) once said as reported in Tirmidhi, 1376:
“When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: sadaqah jaariyah (ongoing charity, e.g. a waqf or endowment), beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), *or a righteous child who will pray for him.”,*
The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) also said:
*A man’s status will be raised in Paradise and he will ask, ‘How did I get here?’ He will be told, ‘By your Son’s Dua'a (Children's prayers) for forgiveness for you.”*
There are certain others things we can do as well for example *Doing Sadaqah or charity on their behalf*
*The best form is Sadaqah Jariyah is giving water*
The Prophet (SAW) said: *“The best charity is giving water to drink"* so giving water is a great charitable act that brings us closer to Allah (SWT).
There are many ways to give Sadaqah on behalf of parents like donating a copy of Qur’an, building a water well, donating affordable amount for building masajid 🕌, paying fees for Madrasa children's services, Medical bills etc
Donating water to masajid or to the poor whenever possible and if applicable giving water to birds and animals regularly with good intentions
A man told the Prophet (saw) that his mother died a sudden death and did not have a chance to leave a legacy in her will, and that were she able to speak, she would want to donate to charity.
He then asked if the reward of charity on behalf of his deceased mother would reach her, to which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, “Yes.” [Muslim]
In a report cited by Imam al-Bukhari in his famous work al-Adab al-Mufrad, we read, “A man approached the Prophet asking, “Is there anything I must do in terms of kindness towards my parents after their death?” The Prophet replied, “Yes, there are four things for you to do: Praying and asking forgiveness of Allah on their behalf, fulfilling their promises, respecting their friends, and fostering their ties of kinship….”
So let's make sure to do a lot of Dua'a for our parents and the whole Muslim Ummah in general
May Allah SWT forgive, bless and unite us all in Jannatul Firdous
      امين يارب العالمين 🌸
Spread this message with everyone and we'll get reward everyone someone practices these even after we leave this world 🗺

My Great Grandmother died 6 years ago I still miss her and think about her even if its only for a second, everything I cook, walk the dog, wash my face or do anything else I did with her while growing up, you don't forget your loved ones and the people that made an impact on you, you hold onto them and keep trying to make them proud even after they've gone

@@dugonantanu9620 It means that what the man said is not absolute.
Unfortunately, it is likely. So don't risk it. You likely will be remembered for a long time after death and will leave some sort of mark, but it won't be that important as time goes on. And every mark eventually fades away. It doesn't matter if you solved every global issue, or if you went a similar path as Hitler. You will be forgotten. Humanity will eventually disappear. So it's recommended you do something that will last forever, which is pleasing Allah, as His love for you will only increase and never go down. People drift away, Allah doesn't.
I do think the message should've been a little less harsh to help convey the point comfortably.

You will not be mourning after 10 years the way you are doing now. The message is they are forgotten slowly. I bet the way you felt couple of days later your father passed away, its not exactly like that after a year. Theres less pain, less tear and less remorse. And slowly it will deninish and you will be left with memories. Your memories too will be taken over and replaced by others in your life.
You didnt get the message from this video.

I disagree. "Gone but not forgotten" you'll still be remembered, missed, and tears will still be there because of u maybe not visible but they will be there. u can still be loved and missed even if ur loved ones carry on with their life.
