South of Brazil including Paraná (where I live), Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul are the most safety places to living in, grow your family and work/invest in too.
👍
RS nao eh seguro.
oh mate - "one of the most stressfull things I have done in my life" - me too , me too . Getting used to how things work here for us square Scandinavians takes time. But in the end, it absorbs some freedoms I didnt think about before, but gives a lot in return, in my experience :)
True, Brazil is a great country but stressful at the beginning!
Moving to Brazil or living there for awhile is my absolute dream. I just have no money unfortunately
Would love to see a video discussing tips for building credit in Brazil… financial products like credit cards, mortgages etc etc
Good idea, will try to do a video about this
Great video! Really useful im due to travel to brazil tomorrow for the first time and will spend a month and do exactly what you said have a base in Rio and travel out to smaller cities.. just realised the videos you mentioned in the video isn't linked in the description 😅
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for your informative video - my wife is from Curitiba- we are planning to live there on a semi permanent basis - I have learned many things about relocating from your well designed videos, your perspective and experience-Sal
Good luck with the move!
Great content! Thank you for unselfishly sharing all those informations, hope you will be able to monitize that somehow 😊 Either way, good deeds always pay back 😉
Thank you for the information provided. It is very useful. Can you recommend for me the small towns in Santa catarinathat are cheaper to live in than Florianópolis? Thank you.
I really like Brusque, Criciúma, Blumenau
nice.
Thanks
Thanks for the video. Really appreciate the insights. Hope you can continue making money trading.
Thanks 👍
👍
I love Brazil and my wife is Brazilian too whom I love muito. You mentioned Floripa which is awesome city. I used to come to Brazil in my case Floripa every three to four months since my wife then fiancé lived there. Then we packed one day and moved to USA. Sometimes in the future if GOD wills we would be interested to buy a condo in Florianópolis.
May GOD bless you and your family. I like your videos.
Pretty cool. I am starting Daytrader kkkk too.
he said he does NOT daytrade. Neither should you l, probably.
Hope you manage to move to Brazil in the future!
@@fantasticchupacabra7205 I didn’t say he does. I dropped the words “on the contrary “ and said what I said 🤣🤣🤣
In 2021, Floripa had more homicide than most big cities in SP and even some big cities in the north-east. And, I dont think big cities in the north and northeast are much behind, less developed. My opinion.
Thanks for your comments
Thank you for your video's! Why not invest in Brazilian real estate as a passive income stream?
Its definitely something that I will do in the future!
Yes. US citizens need to acquire tourist visas
Thanks for confirming
I also lived abroad for a few years as an expat in China, in a smaller town. The first thing what comes up in my mind. You don't feel lonely in a small village?? I only would consider big cities myself cause there are other expats too
I'm not a city boy. I prefer a quiet life in the countryside but everyone is different 😊
Cool, I'm a Brazilian and expat in China for 11yrs now... 😁 Beijing
I'd like to know what your job was BEFORE you were able to move to Brazil..
I was a manager in a medium sized business
i like the philippines where a lot of people speak good enough english but it is very crowded so i would choose brazil the only problem is portuguese
True learning Portuguese was a big challenge
I'm an american living in Sao Paulo looking to connect with other expats
Have you got a cost comparison video of everyday purchases. Like food shopping, car fuel, entertainment costs? If you can compare it to SP / RJ or even Europe would help in my decision to move.
I did a video about my cost of living but I did not compare it directly to Europe or SP/RJ. I will see if I can do a video about this in the future.
How did you initially move to Brazil? Did you get married in Sweden with a Brazilian and then came over to Brazil? Or did you live in Brazil first? And if so, what Visa did you use to stay for longer than 90 days? Thanks for the response 🙏.
Hi, I married my Brazilian wife in Sweden and got my permanent visa through marriage.
Hi did you apply your permanent visa when u arrive in Brazil or did it back in Brazil
Embassy in Sweden ? Which would be better
Adiciona a legenda em português, pra quem não sabe o inglês.
Eu vou adicionar legenda, preciso achar o melhor maneira de fazer isso
passo da hora de aprender né amigão
For the investment visa. Can you buy multiple properties that total 1 million reals? Or it can only be 1 property for 1 million?
You can buy various properties

So do you think it would be achievable to live in Brasil and not have to work if you had a monthly income of around $4,600 USD?
That is what I am doing. But you need to live in the smaller cities and not Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro which are expensive.
I have a question. As a swedish person living in Brazil.. do you ever pay in multiple payments? I know Brazil does this for everything. I don't know how Sweden is. But as an American this is strange to me and I can't relate to how It is cause I've never been able to pay for a shirt for example in multiple payments lol. I feel like if I moved there I'd still pay in 1 payment. What do you do?
Hi, I always in 1 payment when the store offers a discount. Usually the smaller stores offer a 5% discount if you pay in 1 payment with a debit card. The bigger stores do not usually offer a discount so I pay in multiple payments using my credit card.
In which city you are living? And what is rental of two bedrooms apartment there .
The rental for a 2 bedroom apt ranges from US$400 to US$800 depending on size, location etc. I live in a small town in the countryside in Rio grande do sul.
@@nordicinvestor I am in Florianópolis that’s why I just wanted to know the town name . Here I got good place in 1000$ including swimming pool and gym . Fully furnished and good location.
@@nordicinvestorwhat are your thoughts on Porto Alegre? City of 1.5M might be my speed.
Shipping your belongings in a container. How do you prevent the items from getting damp or moldy?
I didn't have problems with dampness or mold in the container. Most of my things were packed in cardboard boxes.
Tourist visas cannot be extended anymore over the 3mths every 6mths for Europeans.
Depends on which European passport you hold
👍
amazing. only 200k? pennies compared to california housing market.
Housing is so much cheaper here
What's the best way to transfer money to Brazil, when you get paid in dollars? is there a bank that makes this transaction easier? Going to spend at least a year in Floripa. Thanks
Wise is a good company to use to transfer money to a brazil
Hi, how is the tax percentage on the salary? Thanks!
Income tax goes up to 27%. I did a video recently about taxes
11:07 tell me you're rich without telling me you're rich 😂
reg your thumbnail, in the last 6 months europe has been much warmer than your part of Brazil ;)
Very true😂
As a Brazilian I tell you: bad idea. It's a dangerous place. If somebody kills you, you'll be a number in the statistics.
"Russian Tourist Stabbed in Daylight Robbery in Rio
5 hours ago - A Russian tourist was stabbed in downtown Rio de Janeiro during an attempted robbery."
In places like Rio, people don't care anymore. They became so used to it that violence is part of their lives.
If you love your life think twice.
Brazil is big it's not just rio for me case I would live to live in florinopolis or Balneário Camboriú
I don’t think rio is a good option to move. Santa Catarina or Paraná are better options
@@karinaoliveira3988 that's what o said to him South and rural areas are the best in my opinion
You do realize Brazil is a MASSIVE country, right? Lots of good and bad places to live, just like anywhere else.
