Thank you for this video. I live in the UK but was born up the hills of Ness Castle by the blue mountains and have been coming back for the last 30yrs and have driven up and down these roads every time I return. I've always wondered whats beyond the backs of the houses....well now I know....such beauty. Keep up the good work. Look forward to returning.
Thanks.
I love it, I love it, excellent video with such informative details. I would love to see the leg of the highway from Grandspen to Lysson please. Again excellent video!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
I subscribed before I even watch. The thumbnail alone was my deciding factor👍🏽

Thank you for teaching me so much about my country, and my parish in particular. Bull Bay, Grants Pen, were just "pass through" names for me. I am pleasantly surprised to see all those communities on and around those hills. The potential of your drone working with realtors is huge. Jamaica the land of beauty. Thanks again Mister "Long Haul" pilot.
Thanks. I am also learning the beauty of my parish.
Wow this footage is simply beautiful makes me love my home even more 😍. can't wait for this project to be finished and ready for the public no more long lines behind the trucks on the hills 🙌 😀.
Bless up dad keep at it .

Job well done I learned so much. So from what I could see it’s almost the same route just much wider with some movement of the road. It’s a good look for the community of St. Thomas

Awesome nice to see Jamaica from the lens of a drone.I myself just started playing around with drone hope to get to your level some day
Go for it!
Literally moving mountains, I hope archeologists are involved in case historical artifacts are unearthed.
Great idea
I totally agree with you, Paul G. It's very important to Jamaica's history. 🏝️🇯🇲🇬🇧💂
This was so satisfying to watch, great footage!!
Thanks
Thanks
Thanks for a awesome video. Happy to see more work is been done on other areas of the highway and not just by Grant's Pen..
Thanks
Thank you so much for a well informed viewing.
I have learned a lot, which I do appreciate
This is the beat drone capture i have seen so far or at least only 1 that make sense
Thanks
EXCELLENT - Brilliant piece of work. Only thing though the route seem sqeezed tight for space as it enters human habitations - 11 Miles by passed towards the coast until it reaches 10 Miles that's where the head ache begins.
Seems like the police station at 9 Miles will have to be relocated as well as most of the residents along the left side of the main road from 10 Miles through 9 Miles. Also looks set to lose about 1/6th of that alligator pond. Wicki Waki, 8 Miles straight to Harbour View - I hope the negotiations for the occupied lands along this part of the route is justified and reaches amicable solutions - Jamaica is severely thirsty for infrastructural developments of all sorts, therefore most if not all of us will have to make sacrifices and compromises.
Many thanks again my brother, much appreciated.
Great assessment
Very insightful.
Nothing beats the sky shot. Great job.
Thanks
Well done n very well put together

It's funny how St. Thomas is one of the least talked about parishes, yet it has probably the most scenic views in Jamaica. I remember as a young boy having the opportunity of being driven around the island in a couple of days' journey, and the view of the south coast was phenomenal; even the defunct Jamintel radar was a sight to behold.. As small as Jamaica is compared to other countries, it sure is diverse in topography.
The enchanted unexplored forest.
Lovely aerial view. Good footage!
Thanks
Well done, Love the video. Continue to post videos like these. Really enjoyed, I subscribed.
Thanks for the encouragement.

Best perspective of the Southern Highway project so far - a definite A+ 👍🏾
Thanks
Appreciated
Highway video will be updated every two months. However, updates will be one video covering the entire route from Yallahs bridge to Kingston.

Thanks for your feedback
Enjoyed watching 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks bro
I enjoy the labeling, learnt so much.
Thanks. Im exploring the world of editing.
I love reading the comments, so very interesting
Great work ✅✅✅✅ You should do the leg from May Pen to Mandeville.
Working on it
Yeah, I’m also looking forward to seeing that one too.
Amazing piece of work.
🙏
you need to update this now, the work has progress a far way now.
Update has been uploaded
Sorry for the lapse in videos. My computer has crashed. Getting a new one this week that can handle the heavy process of video editing.
Thanks.
Brilliant video...very informative
Thanks bro
25:10 that part where it say Shooters Hill. There is a problem when it rains heavily on that corner. I can bet that’s what cause the sue along that stretch of road. That corner there I was hoping they cut it out. Any way it’s lovely to see progress. There are so many affluent homes coming from St Thomas. I’ve seen some swimming pools as well.
It appears that the road will be elevated and a drain placed underneath.
@@dronetrekwithpowpow7622 well I was hoping they would avoid the sea side area. Let see what they gonna do about it.
Good job. I would love to see what's happening on the other highway being constructed, from May Pen to Mandeville. It would be nice also to see drone view from Papine to Bull Bay through the hills, through New Castle and those places going through the hills
Interesting
St. Thomas is truly rich in natural vegetation. I hope not much of the mangroves will be destroyed as the new road is constructed.
It appears that NEPA is fully onboard. The route doesn't enter the mangroves.
The drone coverage is fantastic. If possible can you add in your description the heights reached and distance covered I would appreciate that. Also was this coverage done in one stretch?
St Thomas has been languishing for so long. I hope this will bring some attention to the development of the parish. Well done.
Flight is between 30 to 100 meters. Drones have limited range so I had to do multiple takes.
@@dronetrekwithpowpow7622 Thanks for the information. That was a perfect job in making the journey look seamless. All the best!
Very enjoyable indeed. Keep up !!
Thanks, will do!
Give thanks as a Mezgar Resident I appreciate this. Just one concern after the road "detours" from 11 miles I didnt understand where it joined back the old road whether it is 9 mile or 10 mile.
It reconnects in Nine miles before entering the Cane River Bridge.
Coming from Harbour View, the highway will go through the church and clinic below the Bull Bay Post Office and across the river into 12 Miles.
@@henryshirley672 thanks love this explanation.
brilliant video keep em coming
Thanks
Hey thanks for sharing really enjoyed the footage, if you mind me asking what drone are you using
Dji mini
Need update. Thanks
Wow great content. New subscriber here. Greetings from " germaican experience "
Thanks. Great feedback
@@dronetrekwithpowpow7622 welcome
Very nice Documentary and Road Work for St. Thomas. I wish the Hadleys Gap to Mt. Charles to Mavis Bank to Guava Ridge to Gordon Town and to Papine, could be be made wider for Vehicular Commuters.
Try to have an Archaeologist on hand, while the project is being done. It is important to Jamaica's history. 🏝️🇯🇲💂🇬🇧🚒🚜🚛🚚🚑🚎🚔🙏🏼✌🏼
They will be working on those roads. From Albion through Llandewey to Cedar Valley and down to Morant Bay.
Great footage. At least I now get more understanding as to where the road will be built. Are they going to use the old road from Mezger Garden to Sun Coast?
Correct
Only thing is that 9 mile bridge, that’s Chalk River, not Cane River, Cane River is under the 8 mile bridge. One can travel cane River using the 9 mile square via Green vale Road.
I thought that the existing road in part would be expanded to create the highway.. The arrow runs alongside the existing road. Not sure if it will be separate or the same
The existing road will be expanded to create the highway in locations where the arrow runs parallel to it.
Nice video.. route will be scenic
Definitely
I don't know why you started your YT journey but I can tell you that:
A. You have a new subscriber, 4+ mins into the video.
B. Thanks for taking the time out to so this video and highlighting the St Thomas area. (While I'm not from St. Thomas:)
C. I wish your channel and you the very best!!!
Thanks. Appreciated.
Love it, wish it was a little closer that you could see a bit more. Great drownmanship though.
Thanks. Will take into consideration on next attempt
Can we get an updated video of this same area?
A soon as there is major developments.
@@dronetrekwithpowpow7622 if you do daily updates, I’d watch every single one 😅
@@dronetrekwithpowpow7622 mi still a wait
I’d love to see the community of Bloxburge ( just behind 9 miles)
If its possible, I'll try in the update.
Nice, I'd love to see Clarendon - Manchester
Coming soon
Is Bull Bay located in St Thomas? I was looking at the beautiful scenery and was just curious
70% is in St. Andrew. 11 miles and sections of 10 miles in St. Thomas.
10 and 11 miles would be St. Thomas. 7, 8 and 9 miles are classified as St. Andrew.
A part of Bull Bay is located in St. Thomas
Thanks for the correction
Great job thanks bro
Thanks
what kind of drone you use bro how much it cost?
DJI mini 2
You should be able to check the cost with the above info
What can we expect next?
Updates as the project continues. Also other places of interest in Jamaica.
Love the view your drone is great ask it travel far distance I just have to subscribe here
Thanks
Enjoy watching
Will provide update as work progresses
Pow Pow are you the Person Piloting the Drone?

Very soon
Good job....
Thanks for your feedback
lot of new real estate opportunities opening up.
Definitely. This journey is also a great education for me.
I felt so sad when it ended maybe you should cover the entire Jamaica
That is the plan. Thanks.
22 haters dislike the video for no reason but to hate. LOL
❤❤
Appreciated
Troubleee
👍🏿💪🏿💓💯
Thanks
Nice footage just a little lower
Reception is affected by the hills and distance.
By the next video I'll be a little better. Appreciated
Thanks.
He has to be careful about invasion of privacy since it will be passing over people's private property so I am guessing he can't go too low.
Looks like the government of Jamaica is more into highway than the people and the kids Wow that are suffering
Can develop a country without infrastructure? Weather it's PNP or JLP they both know that infrastructure is important. That's why PNP came up with the plan and the JLP continued the plan. Government dobt create jobs private sector does. Government create the environment for people to create business and move product.
music score ludicrously incongruous
Thanks for the critique
@@dronetrekwithpowpow7622 still very impressive drone work
Hmmm such verbosity!
@@jacquelinemorgan2086 well l went to a very good school
@@TheToneross very nice, all the best.
Crime stop needs drones
True thing
Thry do have drone they use to spot those criminals in August Town few weeks before police and soilders move in and kill them
Or crocodiles
