Love where they live...you have a new subscriber. Looking forward to using in my home state Colorado and my favorite place to go Wyoming!! Tight lines Bro...
Greetings from Colorado! I have the 9'5'' 5 weight with the fighting butt. It's a beast of a rod. Unlike any other 9'5'' rod I have ever cast, very accurate and tons of power. Great to have the extra length for casting from a kayak or raft, or tight lining. It throws everything from small dries to hopper-droppers and small streamers. I'm probably going to have to get a 9' 6 weight as well for heavier streamers, bigger fish, and stronger wind. These are just stunning rods. Great video thank you for sharing. Hopefully one day I will be able to travel to NZ to enjoy your beautiful rivers
A great video Mike. It never ceases to amaze me on this channel, big river, big fish but most importantly the Scott Centric in 5 or 6w looks to be a real winner, especially for turning over long leaders in strong winds. I have never casted a Scott fly rod of any model personally but I think it's about time I think, awesome to see your wife with you taking part on day 1, full of enthusiast for you of course haha, but great to see her out there, fantastic content as always.
Haha yeah the wife is the real star! The Scott rods are always good fishing rods (not just casting tools) so they are slick and well rounded for the conditions here
@@mikefsher I've handled one at the local tackle store and noticed how considerably light they are which is good thing too. 5w will be the one I'll want, keep the great content coming hopefully 👍
My first flagship fly rod purchase was a radian 10’ 7wt that’s my sea trout and Atlantic salmon rod. And I absolutely adore it. Also I snapped the tip on that rod and dealing with Scott with their warranty was painless and I just got a brand new top section. They have great customer service and those hand made rods are incredible. Thinking of adding a centric 9’ 6
@@kkswain96 The centric are top of the line. A guy I work with has one and has mentioned everything about it in a very positive manner and offers a lot more than just a good casting tool against strong winds.

You are bang on the money the Centric is so incredibly accurate and it just makes you want to get out and fish with it. It takes fishing enjoyment to another level.
