I never thought I would see the day.
Cant wait to fly racetrack patterns for hours on end!!!!!!!!!
same
AC-130 inbound? This would be genius.
Did you see the day?
Looks like the date isn’t happening
Looks absolutely stunning, will open up a whole new era within DCS with some exciting mission options. Well done guys keep up the sterling work
Yes, this makes for many more fun scenarios and gameplay options for sure, exciting times! -NineLine/Norm
I kinda now hope for a c17 :p
Tbh, ik its kinda a basic bitch statement, but I hope they add the AC-130, it would add another CAS option, and tbh on its own I can't get too hyped about a C-130.
@@EagleDynamicsTV I agree - this will be exciting, particularly if the variants get modeled. The marine corps refueler version with the weapons package would provide a lot of variety. And this would be the first turboprop in DCS, right?
@@kake9340 well they did announced p2p aar with kc 130j
From someone who has been a crew member on 4 different variants of the C-130 I can’t tell you how happy and excited I am for this. All I can say is thank you!
Honestly this is got to be an instant buy for me. Been playing MSFS and am loving flying the larger aircraft and would love that feeling within DCS.
Same I’m on dcs since one month, I was on Xplane 11 ans msfs 2020 before that for years so this module will feel easier for me
Agree, after watching videos of C-130 crews doing tactical combat landings, I began to nickname the C-130 "The Flying Asylum". These guys are absolutely bonkers 😵
No more Captain scam c130 KEKW
Didn't you guys tried the Super Hercules mods for DCS ?
It genuinely surprised me; love the clickable cockpit and the realistic performance parameters. But I am super glad ED is adding some variety to modules, and I'd love to see stuff like the Blackbird and the Foxhound next.
Hopefully they quickly add the "A" to the C-130
It's been years I've been waiting for this kind of addon. A tanker or an AWACS in the future would be absolutely neat.
Oh yes an AWACS, with a pilot, copilot and a pair of dudes at the coms
Would love an E2 Hawkeye!!
The kc130 is coming with this model
I'd love to have a live person operating the boom instead of a picky AI
@@leoferrero9796 no big deal, only like 20 person multicrew required
ED really need to start focusing on their dynamic campaign/ground AI/logistics/mission planning to make these new modules compelling. My AH-64 still sits in the hangar most days for the same reason. Really pleased to see Anubis' mod come so far along, hopefully the first heavy will prod ED to put a bit more polish on these neglected areas.
Oh, God, no! That's the most expensive part (and usually the EVENTUAL DEATH) of a military flight simulator.☠
@@DJones476 huh?
If the module is made by "Airplane Simulation Company" how is that hindering the internal engineering of the base game?
@@ChucksSEADnDEAD Sorry, Bro. I thought you were talking about campaigns.
@DeusVult1527 Okay. So ED needs to stop approving modules?
YES PLEASE! And please do more larger Aircrafts in the future
We hope this opens the door to more for sure! -NineLine/Norm
@@EagleDynamicsTV which kind of mission types will this module encompass?
KC130!! Pleasee
@@Zoddom Logistics, and later, air-to-air refueling.
@@EagleDynamicsTV Opens the door? Is.. is that a pun intended?
This is an absolute watershed moment in DCS history. We have the support this developer!
Especially all those who are talking about the AC-130! If you want the AC you got to support this module first!
How about they do the AC-130 the people want first, and if it sell good enough, then they work on ... whatever they intend to release first, now. It's really weird.
@@jonnie2bad they're not the same company
@@Andrei5656 The amount of development time required to get an AC in the game would likely require too much time and money for a startup to accomplish. It’s already gonna be hard enough.
@@Andrei5656 Because if they do the C-130 first everyone will buy both.
@@2018paulrobbinx the attack variant is the #1 reason the C-130 is popular not because of its cargo capability and is going to be the main reason people will buy the C-130
Day 1 mod will be turning this into an AC-130 and I will buy it just for that. I grew up on Hurlburt Field, my Dad was part of the ground crew for the Spooky in the 90's.
This is fantastic! I had a feeling that this was coming! It will give DCS pilots so many more options on what to do in game. DCS is a combat simulator and the C-130J can do combat, but i'd like to see more modules that aren't specifically for combat like the C-130J or the Yak-52. A C-2 Greyhound would be pretty cool too.
C295, A400M, AS532 Cougar.... Would be great to see them in DCS! Hopefully one day
E2 Hawkeye 😶🌫️
@@guyrandom1 human-controlled AWACS would be horrible.
And I don’t mean it wouldn’t be fun. It absolutely would be. But you already know that the vast majority of human AWACS players would do a terrible job. 😂
I say leave it to AI.
However, tanking with the KC-130 will be very fun, and (usually) only really requires autopilot for the KC driver’s part.
THIS IS THE MOST EXCITED I'VE EVER BEEN FOR A MODULE AND IVE BEEN PLAYING SINCE 2016
Ohh yess time for a cargo carrier ahaha can't wait for this
GUNSHIP GUNSHIP GUNSHIP There, I said it three times and now it must appear!
You've been making my childhood dreams come true for years now. Thank you!!! I've been with you guys since the first KA-50/A-10 releases and I'm proud to say, you guys have been all I've ever needed since then.
I remember playing games like Jetfighter III, Janes series or the Novalogic "sims," always craving more detail. I wanted to turn on the smack lights, set the radios and have landing bay doors open and close- instead of watching the wheels just clip through the skin. It's amazing everything you guys have accomplished. Continue to make childhood dreams come true!
I hope this leads to the potential of bringing in strategic bombers to the game
Definitly ! Maybe also awacs and I would really love to see a really nice transport like the c-17
B-17 Please
@@MigVTS +1. Also HE-111 or Ju-88
Not sure about that. A tactical airlifter has a role to fill on the maps we have. A strategic bomber would mean 8+ missions from somewhere far away. I am not against it, but think resources are better spent on tactical aircraft.
@@GalacticMilkfoam No reason a 'strategic' bomber can't also be used in a tactical role. Something like an orbiting B-52 or B1 in the bomb-truck role in a GWOT scenario, striking buddy-lased or JTAC-designated targets. Or a multi-crewed B-17 attacking the front line and having to fend off attacks by enemy fighters, Memphis Belle-style. All depends on how people want to play.
Imagine the AC-130 with Multiplayer Capability 🤤
I BEG FOR THAT
**cough** pipeline **cough**
;)
it's coming for sure with this.
@@Glock30Eric No it's not lmao, y'all have no idea how secretive most of the AC-130's systems are.
@@kamraam1464 the mod does it
Coming soon!? when is soon? This year? Cant wait any longer :) Keep up the good work.
DAYUM! As someone who worked on those I'm super excited! I wonder if other variants will also be made!
See the newsletter for more info, but the short answer is yes! -NineLine/Norm
@@EagleDynamicsTV Woohoo! That gets me even more hyped!! Thank you so much!!
@@F22raptor46 "Exciting additional variants are planned in the near future, including the KC versions. This will offer player to player aerial refueling, another first in DCS. "
@@MAXsenna00 Yup I read, I was wondering of variants other than that like AC, MC, HC etc, hell maybe even a stretched J-30
I can see its a work of love! The fact that its a large logistics aircraft will open up a lot of options in missions in the sense of the roles you can play! Cant wait until its in beta and fingers crossed for the AC130 😍 thanks for all the hard work lately to everyone in the industry
I'll probably get this. A new approach and feel to everything else.
Eagle dynamics always finds a way to surprise me
Awesome, can't believe all the great stuff coming to DCS up the road! 😍
Truely awesome options for large scale operations!
This will be one hell of a product. Congratulations to ASC and ED, may the relationship be long and prosperous!
This is gonna be so cool in multiplayer
Very very nice. Eagle Dynamics is probably the greatest gaming/sim company ever
Thank you for the kind words - Scott / bignewy
Day one purchase! I grew up on an Air Force Base and got to see and hear these aircraft on a near daily basis! Though back then it was the E and H models that I mostly saw. Can't wait to fly this!
This is great great news for DCS in general, much needed for realistic logistics, which is the backbone of the entire warfare. I only bought a handful of modules close to their list prices, but this one will be definitely added to the stable once available. Imagine an intense low level supply mission with player controlled fighters providing cover. Can't wait. Great job ED!
Can I only imagine a spooky gunner variant of this to allow for some multiplayer crew scenarios. Certainly great to finally see a large aircraft being developed, really gives me high hopes for the future, amazing work!
The mod version (that this is being developed from) already has the function so I would hope it sticks around.
The mod version also includes paratroopers, vehicle air drops, cargo drops, and the ability to drop a MOAB
If all that sticks around and allows this to become a full module, that is going to be awesome.
Deploying weapons with the Rapid Dragon System would be great too
Ghostrider. Spooky is old hat.
@@beachgaara Even better, but I imagine the newer the aircraft the less available information to build of but I'd still love to see a ghostrider.
@@ranger6609 Same aircraft. A C-130J. They just changed the armaments for the AC130J and it became the Ghostrider so it now has more stuff (in addition to the stuff from the Spooky) thats already declassified and some is in the game (like Hellfires and Glide Bombs)
After 2 years flying only transport or medic missions with the Huey, Mi-8 even mi-24, this is what I was waiting for with fixed wings (Hercules or C17)... And Ch-53 as transport heli wouldn't be a bad option neither 😁. Since last two months I went to Ms Fs2020 just because I don't want use weapons right now... just logistics. (Maybe I'm getting older)
I have purchased 90% of all modules and maps since I started with LOMAC on DVD as well as original Black Shark (1) before DCS migration... A10C ... I've always dreamed about flight this kind of airplanes with the astonishing flight models that we have on most airplanes here... Next step: larger and detailed maps and no reason to flight another sims.
Good job ED. You have done it!
This is absolutely MASSIVE for both the DCS and Flight sim community. Well done. Long overdue! Cant freakin wait!
is soon closer its been almost a year
Can wait for growing sidewinder to dogfight in this thing
i choked/laughed when i saw this comment because it caught me off guard haha but 100%
@@YosefCardoso Same lol
This will be a nice addition to DCS.
Honestly from fixed wing planes I’d never heard of to rotary wing to this- DCS is constantly redefining the idea of simulation for me, opening up to trying new stuff. The Anubis mod was great already, can’t wait to see a polished version and feel out a much larger aircraft with what I hope is PFM. Great work so far!
Lets call it more like a tactical era. Be a flying Gas Station on multiplayer servers. Or you fly some supplies from a to b, request Air Support for some areas etc etc.
You don’t need to fire a canon or a missile to be in combat! And that’s super cool!!! :) thanks dcs for expanding the horizon ED!
A surprise to be sure, but a good one
This is going to be amazing! I'd love to see more non-fighters. Maybe an F-117 or B1.
there’s a really good f-117 mod
I want an F-111
BONE!
Sold! Definitely out of the blue! The thought of aerial refuelling though...... 🤩
"Airplane Simulation Company" must be one of the most unimaginable names for a sim software company. I love it.
too good to be true almost... 10 years ago and the 4 planes that dcs had at the time... crazy seeing all those new planes.
ED wow you all are always impressing us with so much variety. Thanks for creating such a great platform that allows us all to dream and live our Fantasies thru DCS. Love you guys keep up the great work!
Still coming every day to re-watch this trailer. So darn excited!
You guys are on a roll again!!! Awesome!
What is soon?
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
cant wait!
THIS one looks very special and the beginning of a new era for larger aircraft addons for DCS. I can only imagine how this will feel in VR. Fantastic work guys!
Oh dang! Of all the heavies to add, yall start with the one I work on! Ty sm!
DUDE WHAT!?
Wow!!! Will go really great with a dynamic campaign!!! Would love to do tactical landings/drops 👍
OMG IMPRESSIVE REALISME best models and the details in the world !
wow, amazing, this module will add a lot of dynamic to the existing missions, war is not only about taking down the enemy, but also the logistic behind it and I believe this will be the first module that will add value to this unspoken side of the modern conflict scenarios
I hope more transport aircraft such as the CH-47 come to DCS.
Hell yeah!
I think this is absolutely stunning addition! It opens up a whole new range of possibilities within the sim.
Looks great. Another aspiring developer. It's good to see a thriving ecosystem emerging around the DCS platform.
Sincerely, I'm a litlle bit worried about all this new planes and new developers coming to DCS. Are they gonna mantain the DCS standard, or DCS are becoming a new simulator with less obligation regarding fidelity to real aircraft behaviour?
So so glad you folks decided to give this beautiful aircraft a chance to enter DCS. Love to see DCS broadening its Aircraft inventory year in year out.
Dude...this is gonna bring so much more versatility and depth to missions in DCS. Absolutely will be a day 1 purchase from me...so freakin stoked about it!
YES YES! can't wait to play in the cockpit with my buddy!
HYYYYPE. Finally! This will be amazing for simulating logistics in my campaign. That said... the developer company name tho :D
Best name ever! 😁
I knew they'd make this module eventually
This has been a wish of mine for so long! Amazing
About time! Bring in more logistics to attract other flight sim crowds!
So when is this aircraft coming out?
I never thought they would create a high-fidelity cargo plane! I'm beyond stoked.
I'm kind of new to DCS. I know enough to understand the game and I can fly the F-15c and A10-A while pushing their limits. Although, I do not understand why this being added is so hyped? What can you do with it? Mostly, I kill ground or air targets in DCS and that's about it.
@@onexlifeonly132 popularity and can do supplies run for servers
@@onexlifeonly132 It's something completely different than what is already in the game. Will be the first aircraft that doesn't focus on air to air or air to ground. It will also be the largest flyable aircraft too so it's exciting for people that have been using fighters their whole DCS career.
@@zach4195 you know microsoft flight simulator does pretty nicely simulate large non-combatant aircraft?
@@skeletonjam You know DCS acutally captures these vehicles perfectly correct?
This might be what finally gets me into DCS. Been working on 130s for the better part of a decade and would love to get behind the yoke of one when its actually airborne
My father would KILL for this module, he was a C130 pilot himself for RAFO so I'm sure he can coach me though it 🙌🏾
I am impressed, and super excited for this plane. I can't wait to do missions with it, and even aerial refuel if possible.
Nice to see some underdogs in the aviation world coming to dcs
Now this looks stunning and quite out of the blue - nice!
This reminds me of an old PS2 game called Aero Elite: Combat Academy, where you get to fly cargo and amphibian aircraft on non-combat missions. These are basic, involving airdropping cargo pellets and landing & takeoff on water, but in a franchise where you previously do only aerobatics and small-scale air combat, it was a breath of fresh air.
This will bring a whole new side of aviation to military aviation to dcs, very well done looking good
Loved the mod, this is a dream come true! Looks amazing!
Can’t wait but the fact it has been almost a year and a half tells me otherwise
Thank you ED for making this happen!
This represents an interesting move for ED into the heavy lift airframes which hasn't been their bread and butter in the past. The community in recent times has shown a strong interest in this niche, and a thirst for logistics support rather than pure combat roles. It's exciting stuff. Would love to see some logistics stuff for carrier ops down the road. Certainly a refueling option for the Hercules is really going to be a fun option.
Cargo planes really come into their own on multiplayer servers. If airbases are set to limited resources, players can restock forward airfields with munitions and even aircraft taken from rearward bases. It adds a new dimension for when you want something more relaxing, or a different kind of thrill- doing something critical, while unarmed.
@@aries144 exactly!
it seems to me that this needs to be backed up with a 'reason to play', that being a dynamic campaign... (same goes for choppers which whilst being amazing in terms of flight model alos need to be integrated into a proper dynamic environment)
Holy crap, this looks amazing! Utterly fantastic addition to the sim with tons of potential. Multi-player missions just got waaaaaaaay more interesting, potentially.
Outstanding back to the airframe I loved and started my Air Force career with. Granted Es and Hs but still no less proud to fly a DCS 130 as a former Jet troop with the 62nd AS LRAFB. I have been flying the DCS C-130J free mod and if its their quality we are in for a great experience. Oh man awesome!!!! A trash hauler no more.
WHAT !!?? damn I would love a campaign with this big boy!! Awesome addition!! Well done ED.
I love this and this is an instant buy, just thinking how new players are gonna absolutely demolish the runway and try to do low passes over players on ground…
I love the new modules that keep coming to the platform. I love DCS! However, I just have such a hard time wrapping my head around how all of these new modules are supposed to continue to function on such an old un-optimized platform. Most of us have hardware that would do exceptionally well with graphics of this caliber. However, I always have optimization issues and it under utilizes almost everything I have in my rig. Is this game going to continue to survive on such an old backbone? Im genuinely curious.
Just keep playing black shark and you’ll be good
I keep saying they need unreal engine 5.
@@erfguuipo8084 that’s be awesome but I think they’d have to rebuild the entire game almost from the ground up including the modules. I’m not sure at all, but I’m assuming they would.
Can't wait to fly these big ones in DCS🔥
cant wait, yet again youve got it spot on
This one I'll definitlley get, provided there is a AC Variant of it :D
They plan additional variants in the future according to the newsletter including the KC which will be cool to do player to player refueling. Cant see them not doing an AC-130J :). I think they will all be different modules though.
@@Kingjoffyjofa I mean presumably it is the same Developer who made the mod. And the mod had guns, so I would be surprised if this module didn't have any
@@Kingjoffyjofa hopefully they also add the C-130H which is the four propellant variant
@@encryptedaviation1452 Yeah that would be cool.
@@Kathlanus The one in the teaser doesn't have any weapons. It just a C-130J.
Its amazing how it came from just a community mod to this 😍
any updates on this sure would be nice...
Wow this is cool...
But just imagine how f ing cool a V22 Osprey Module would be.
Always wanted to know how a big aircraft feels in DCS considering how good the flight model is for pretty much everything else.
Good way to capture the msfs crowd. Looking forward to logistics operations.
I SAY YES JUST YES Eagle dynamics with DCS you are openning a wide new world for the military simulation
So excited to see some larger aircraft
YES! Any hope for mounting the Battle station and cannons? That would add so much to an already potentially great module
This is fantastic news for the sim. The C-130J will add so much depth to DCS.
Wow, looks amazing, a must have.
as someone who has flown in one of these and has walked its length while in flight and visited the cockpit in flight i think this might have to be my first purchase for DCS world especially if you can drop ground vehicles and troops and a MOAB drop would be pretty damn cool too
Wonder if this is a sign of the new ATC getting closer, can't imagine logistics gameplay without it.
Hope there will be an update for improved land based ATC (and radio) soon 👍
The mod is absolutely fun to mess with. This will be no different. Good to see more aircraft variety coming to DCS. Hopefully more like aircraft like tankers and AWACS type aircraft will be coming in the future and allowing us to have eyes in the skies without the use of third party software like LOTAtc. My opinion the less mods/software i have to keep track of the better.
KC-135T with a player operated boom would be crazy
So cool! This is going to be a great year!
