Remember, your Valve, Water Source, and Outlet dictate the parts you will need. Adapters are useful to help connect to your chosen pipe type and size. Make sure to consider future maintenance when you make a choice between Threaded, Slip, and PVC/Blu-Lock fittings.

I’m going to have a solenoid valve or two for my vegetable and other plant garden. I will set up my box like you show here. Question: Where will I install the filter, pressure regulator, and adapter for the drip system. Inside the box? Outside? What do you recommend?
I looked through your video library and didn’t see that you have talked about this. Cheers and thanks for these great videos

You will likely install it in the box, just after the valve :)
We do have a video that goes over this a little bit (and we have a big video library now, it wasn't easy for me to find either lol) at this link: ua-cam.com/video/bFcK__VLfnU/v-deo.html
I set the link to start at 1 minute in, which is where we start assembling the valve and head assembly -- after that, it'll show us getting it into the valve box so you can get an idea of what yours will look like.
You're welcome to reply here at any time if follow-up questions come up, just say the word!

Thanks for the very helpful video! In terms of maximizing the ease of removing / replacing solenoid valves, is there any benefit to using pvc unions on either side of the valve vs the swivel fittings? I know schedule 80 unions are more expensive.

You bet, a PVC union essentially provides the same benefit as a swivel (and has a collar you can turn without turning the entire assembly like a swivel). A PVC union might be a little easier to unthread when everything has been in a valve box for awhile, which could definitely be seen as a benefit (though like you noted, at a little higher cost for the Sch 80 ones). :)

The parts are supposed to be described in the description below, but there is no description.

      The description is there :)
Just below the video is the title, then just below that, on the left hand side you'll see our name and Logo -- the description starts right below that. You'll have to click "more" to expand the description to see the entire thing, but once you do the parts list and links will be there.
      I hope this helps!

How tight? Do you recommend using O ring lubricant?

    • @dripdepot

Hand tightening is all you need. You will have a tight seal as long as the O-ring is engaged (which will engage with hand tightening). Tools can damage the threads if used.
No need for any lubricant. These parts are designed to be turnkey :)
