Hey Danno just watched a video of 2 women in Walmart buying chicken thighs package said little over 4 pounds but they weighed it actual weight was a little over 2 pounds hmmm interesting getting ripped off-- grab a package and weigh let us see what you find
Read the fine print on Walmart chicken labels too. Don't buy the chicken if the label says anything like "water added". They're ripping you off!
@@rangerannie5636 Almost ALL chicken is 10% to 15% water and salt brine added. There is so much in it, you never have to salt it when cooking it!
Oh I know about the added water to chicken disgusting it also happens to turkeys during the holidays and all year for that matter--we live in cattle country and don’t even buy store meat fresh from the source
@gobbletegook I've been buying chicken at Grocery Outlet Bargain Market that's labeled as "no water added". You have to read the labels.
Very few organic brands have no water, or salt, or preservatives added. The texture of the meat is different. It's tight and not mushy as supposedly "cheap chicken". The same goes for farm chickens. If you look at the meat, you will be surprised how different it looks. In the long run, it's better to pay for the actual meat than water. If you look at labels, pork has the same issue. Unless it is specified that it doesn't contain water and other additives, it has all of the above. Oh, and meat where it is just the meat (times we are living in, right?) has a distinctive "meat smell".

That would be fun, maybe with some neices and nephews. Sounds like Danno could teach some of us about fishing. It's been a long time since I went fishing. I remember the first time I went and caught a little fish. I was very excited and the grown-ups very nicely said, think fishy needs to go back in the water and grow some more. It was fun and we had a good laugh

I found incredible sales at Kroger today as they are doing a huge reset again. With 'best-by' dates of late 2025 through late 2026, I got Cafe Bustello bricks for $1.80, Burt's Bees two-pack of lip balm for 2.41, 33.8 oz Nivea extra moisture for 6.19, Red Star instant yeast for .66 strips of 3, and between the sale, buy 5 get $5 plus a $3 coupon, I got $11.+ Lavazza coffee for 2.99.
I love making egg bites. Silicone cupcake liners make it super easy😊

I've gotten fantastic clearance prices on Lodge cast iron at Kroger, of all places. I also got a grill for $7 last year.
I own a few of the hyper tough shelves and use them in my pantry, they are very good quality 😊 And $69 is a pretty good price for them. Really enjoying the different vids you've been doing lately Danno! Hope you and Jess have a Great Weekend!

That IS a good price on that wire shelving unit for $69. I bought one there last year that I think is the same size and it was $80. But it was cheaper than what I saw on amazon when including shipping. I bought my first one about 10 years ago from target when it was on sale for $40!!! Regular price was $50!. So the prices of those shelves has basically doubled. Last year I also bought a smaller 5 foot one from Temu for $33. The poles were only 5/8" instead of 1" like the other two I have, but it has been sturdy enough to hold the 24 flats of great value tomatoes and black beans for like 6 months now(I am allergic to kidney and pinto beans so that is why I bought black beans, and I've never seen dry black beans for sale in big bags like the other two so that's why I bought cans). One of my units is in my walk in pantry and the other two are in my second bedroom which I use for storage for me and my sister's family since I live alone. Those shelves are also excellent for holding cans of certain kinds of seeds! ;-)

My family used to have a trailer in Indiana that we would go to every weekend during the summer, my dad would take me fishing at the lake with a cane pole, we used to use dough balls to catch the blue gill fish with.

I think you need to be careful with the very low cost appliance like that microwave. I tried out a low cost electric drip pot from Walmart and it worked but stopped functioning after 1 month. Water stopped going through properly.

When you talk about fishing 🎣 and making lures, you remind me of one of my brothers-in-law. He makes it sound so easy that you don't realize that it is going over your head and you don't understand what was just said LOL But then, he'll show you and it's so much easier to understand. At least for me. I don't fish a lot, but love the end results 😋
To me it seems like chicken has changed. I also cook it for my dog and there are times she won’t eat it. She’ll smell it and leave it there.
I still shop at WalMart more than anywhere else.
The one in Hudson Mass is nice. It’s clean and well staffed.

Those look delicious! Yes, they are expensive. I have those hyper tough shelves in my extended pantry and absolutely love them. They are very sturdy. I put my heavy canning jars on the bottom and paper towels and boxed items on top. I enjoyed this video. Thanks for taking us along.
