Circles was released after this passing. He released Swimming in August and passed away a month later. It was also said that Mac had pretty much completed this album. Jon Brion helped finish it and give it its final touches. Jon helped produce Swimming and the concept is Swimming in Circles. He was supposed to come out with an album that would complete the trilogy. And that was supposed to be called Till Infinity so like Swimming in Circles Till Infinity. Would’ve been a pure hip hop/rap album. Kinda wish you would’ve started at least with Swimming but listening to Circles is also great. Hope you enjoy going through his discography.
I enjoyed that immensely. I look forward to seeing you vibe more with Mac. He's got such a tortured yet beautiful and peaceful outlook. And he's just 100 percent authentic, impossible to not like him.
imo Mac has one of the best discographies, faces is a great album/ep, K.I.D.S is great, divine feminine, swimming , watching movies. all recommendations.
I'm almost as big of a Mac Miller fan as I am a Bladee fan 😁👍🏻 Mac Miller is one of the greatest ever, immensely complex and intelligent dude especially for his age. Grew up in the same city close enough in age (I'm 25 lol) that I met kids who went to HS with him through sports. My friends and I looked up to him a lot. This album is actually the second in a companion album duo, Swimming (in) Circles. In that sense it's difficult to recommend anything but swimming for next, but I think Faces, GOOD AM, and Watching Movies are all fine moves from here as well. Faces is one of the greatest mixtapes ever and an absolute classic of the DatPiff era Totally agree with your assessment of the album and I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. Funny you say it felt like a canoe, bc when it first came out I had a canoe trip planned the next day and waited to listen to the project until I was out in the boat with my sister I agree that there is something intimate and personal about these reactions and the connection they facilitate. I think the way we consume content online makes people unconsciously seek out that connection in a way that is gratifying, and they treat this type of content as a way to hear people glaze artists they like. But I think it's so much more and that's why I try to leave thoughtful comments, bc I think thoughtful people like you making videos is an invitation and an opportunity 😁

Please do either KIDS or Best Day Ever, both great early Mac tapes when he was doing more frat rap type stuff, Faces is an incredible project, very weird and more lyrical focused, and imo Swimming is his best project, Circles is supposed to be the second half of a double album w/Swimming. Love seeing Mac on here
