I think you need a larger radius for the chandelier. The two you put up while beautiful don’t seem to have the scale needed to balance the ceiling design. You all are doing such amazing work!
The second chandelier looks lovely maybe hung shorter to ceiling. Maybe a wider one would look better but may cover or take away from the beautiful ornate centre ceiling details.
This suite will be perfect for weddings. The bride in the blue room, the groom in the wood room. I can just imagine " getting ready" photos of the bride in the blue room...swoon. Later this year you should choose a model and a photographer and have a portfolio put together for advertising. Everywhere from the suite to the garden will be a beautiful backdrop.
I love the second chandelier. It’s just the right size for that room. The first one would look great in the bathroom. Especially after it’s all clean and sparkly. Love the fact that is a really old one. Look no more ❤
I really like the first one better than the second. It felt more airy, while the second was just too dense for my taste. But I agree, it needs to have a larger radius.
Someday I expect there will be a documentary on Terry. An artist, visionary and craftsman. We are all witnessing the unfolding of his gifts and passion.
FYI - I did this when I was on buying sprees at salvage stores for one of my remodels. Take a photo of each thing you buy that may be packaged up (e.g. chandeliers but not furniture), print the pics and tape them onto the package before putting the package into storage.
The pillars on the mantle look really nice. Do you sleep at night Terry? Or is your mind constantly going with ideas? You amaze me. I love the ceiling in that room too.
What a gorgeous heart-breakingly beautiful chateau! You two did the world a service saving it and restoring everything. The soul and spirit is lovely and just think of all the life this chateau has witnessed. And what’s to come. Love from Canada.🇨🇦
I know that passion can be a burdensome task master, but I hope you give yourselves the time to decompress and just enjoy the life you are building. There will never be a time when your home won't require your undivided attention. You've built such a spectacular world, and I hope you can step back and breathe. Thank you for sharing your adventures. It means a lot to those of us who will never know such luxury.
When I saw the wallpaper for this room, I sort of thought the accents would be silver not gold. I liked the first chandelier more, but I also liked the first wallpaper more as well. My opinions are usually different than the majority but in the end I think every choice you make is the right one.
The look of the first chandelier was perfect, it really complemented the room well. The second one was a good size but was not near as elegant as the first. Good luck on choosing one!
The wall paint color is perfection. When you cut into the crown molding I said "Oh My God!" out loud. But it looks great, of course. Your creative vision is amazing.
I prefer the first chandelier (but it’s hard to tell because it will look so different when it’s cleaned and sporting candle sleeves). The second one seems to be too full and not airy and open enough for the light atmosphere of the room. Neither chandelier seems to coordinate with the sconce which looks more heavy and angular. I know you will sort it. Every room will evolve in time, just as the whole chateau has. It is lovely and you are all doing a fine job! Thank you for sharing your passion!
I like the smaller first chandelier. You will have 4 wall sconces with 2 lights each and then the chandelier and that is very bright. This should not be lit up like a ballroom or entranceway. I think the larger one might look beautiful in the landing in front of the two bedroom suites. It is very large and bright and the area there will never get a lot of natural light. So a large chandelier would be perfect there!
I'd go with the second chandelier - for now. The first is underwhelming. Once the papering is done and you've brought in the furniture and all, you'll be able to tell if it's too much, not enough or just right. It's really not a big deal to change it later.
I'm going to go against the current here as I prefer the 1st one (the old one) primarily as I love glass. I think when the glass is cleaned and sparky it will have a greater "presense" in the room and hold its own despite its size. I also feel that mantle columns, the furnishings and art that will fill the room will be enough visual interest and a razzle-dazzle chandelier is not needed. And a beautiful glass chandelier will be the "oh my!" extra moment. Mantle columns look great. And you've given me an idea for my mantle. Another "just job". 😊
I love the 1st chandelier. The extra crystal pieces are not typical so it adds just the right amount of opulence to a subtle, beautiful room. The size is good I think because you have all the sconces so you don't want to overlight the room. Try it and look at it after all the other lighting is done and turned on to see what you think. If you don't like it it's not hard to change it out. I do think also, is the 2nd one had too many arms and the style just wasn't unique enough for that particular room. As always, I have lots of opinions, lol.
I prefer the first chandelier. It was missing its crystals off the bottom bowl and that will add to its height. It also has a lighter more graceful feel to it. The second one is to squat looking and dense for the room.
Wow, I'm already really liking the "wallpaper room". The paneling and paint color are spot on. The feminine wallpaper contrasted against the masculine wood paneling is great. Oh, and I love that chandelier (the smaller and older one).
Terry, your designs are absolutely wonderful. Please do not let anyone discourage you from your "over the top" designs. So far, I have not seen anything that did not make me say, "Wow." 👏👍🤗
I like the first chandelier. Spiffed up, it will echo the style of the room as you move into a more reserved (never more refined, you do that very well) era of decorating.
Not sure about the wood pieces alongside od the fireplace but I like Terry's design eye, so I will anxiously wait. AS FOR THE chandelier , my choice is the first one from your UK home. I will say the second one is beautiful but too busy. Size ok but not for that room
I liked the first chandelier and think it would be beautiful when cleaned, though the size may be a problem especially with the (lovely) distraction of the wallpaper. I have reservations about the wall sconses. They look clunky with the chandeliers.
I prefer chandelier #1. If you are going for simple elegance, it is the one. The second one is a bit too large and complex - over the top for this room. The guideline I am familiar with for ceiling fixtures is one inch in diameter for each foot of room width. Just a guideline, but helpful. I hope you choose #1, the "Marie Therese" style fixture.
I think Terry's right. The room needs something more spectacular for the chandelier. Imagine the floors being done 🎉🎉❤ The 401 suit came together much quicker than the 400 suit as you guys said it would.
I loved the first one as it was older and looked the part. The second one was too new looking. I do feel it needs to be bigger, wider, but definitely antique, not new or reproduction. You are all doing a marvellous job. I love watching your journey, from over here in Australia.
Everything is looking SPECTACULAR! Hey Terry if it helps at all- general formula designers use to calculate chandelier size, Room width + length = (in feet in America) then change feet to inches. Then adjust to taste & feeling! 20ft + 15ft = 35ft or 35inch light! It definitely helps narrow the field when out looking and deciding!
I like the second one with the gold. You had said with the colors that you wanted that room to be calming and peaceful, I think the 2nd chandelier does that. It's still grand and beautiful, but with a calmer feeling to it. A more overstated chandelier may overpower the peaceful, relaxing feeling you're going for.
I love the way the wood from the fireplace pillars, and everything else you mentioned, will tie in this room to the “wood room” almost as a preview. The suite is going to be exquisite!
I will have to reserve judgement on the two wood posts until everything is in the room, right now they look a littel out of place on the video, but so excited that the floors are about to get done!!!
I’m very impressed with all of you, you all work so hard! Very dedicated to bringing HER back to life! I can’t imagine what you’ll do on the main floor!😮❤❤❤❤
There’s been so much progress since you began. I’ve watched every episode and many more than once. You are all so talented and energetic!! Keep the episodes coming. Happy New Year!!🎉🎉
I'm sure you'll find your chandelier, of the two, I prefer the style of the smaller one,but agree it's not big enough. Love as always from County Durham xxx ❤
I like the second chandelier, I think its large enough and elaborate enough. The main feature of the room should be the fireplace, not the chandelier this time. As you said, its a more elegant room rather than ornate. Plus you are still adding the wallpaper in the arches which will pretty special.
I know this isn’t my business but I feel Tracy needs a vacation . She works so hard and is an “ever ready bunny.” I personally would like to see her recharge her batteries and come back to you refreshed. Sorry for stepping out of bounds, she is determined to see her family succeed and is so proud of what you all can accomplish. Amazing woman!
I loved the look of the first Chandlier. I understand it is in your perspective that it is too small. But the elegance of the older one is my favorite.
My personal choice is the second one. It’s stunning! The crystals just need a bit of warm soapy water and WOW! Everyone will be Gobsmacked as you say. xxxxxx good luck with the floors, they’ll be marvelous 💕💕💕 Alexandra in Florida
Yep, bigger chandelier with more crystals. The room asks for more chandelier height. Your old house was also a treasure box! Your bedroom chandelier was gorgeous, it is such a pity it falls away in such a big room. Thinking chateau-sized is really something different. You will find it, I bet, as you usually do.
I loved the chandeliers but they were a little bit too small for the room. I think they needed to be a little bit on the wider side. Everything is looking so beautiful I can't wait to see it I'll come together completed.

Both Chandeliers are absolutely gorgeous !!! , but most definitely need a larger Chandelier for that space. Everything looks amazing, you guys do such great work.

I like the second one that your Mom liked..it’s perfect because you don’t want to take away from the room. Plus it’s full of crystals, love that ❤.
Thank you 🥰🥰
I agree. The second one was beautiful to that room. 😊
I like the first one!
I don't think either of them are big enough.
Yes 2nd one! Beautiful!
The second chandelier is perfect.
I thought so as well!
Yep, the arcs of the arms match the arcs of the panelling
I think you need a larger radius for the chandelier. The two you put up while beautiful don’t seem to have the scale needed to balance the ceiling design.
You all are doing such amazing work!
You are right! Thank you 🥰
Beautiful chandeliers but the scale is not right for that room 😊
Wonderful job on this project ❤❤❤
The second chandelier looks lovely maybe hung shorter to ceiling.
Maybe a wider one would look better but may cover or take away from the beautiful ornate centre ceiling details.
A bigger chandelier please.
This suite will be perfect for weddings. The bride in the blue room, the groom in the wood room. I can just imagine " getting ready" photos of the bride in the blue room...swoon. Thanks Christine 🥰
I completely agree. The first one would be perfect for the bathroom and 1st one is perfect for the salon - I loved it with the ceiling design.
I see your start to 2025 has the same enthusiasm and energy as ever. Love your programme. Wont miss it for anything.
Thanks so much Valerie 🥰
Tracie is always very supportive and boy does she have a strong work ethic. Amazing family.
Absolutely!❤
I really like the first one better than the second. It felt more airy, while the second was just too dense for my taste. But I agree, it needs to have a larger radius.
I love the secend chandelier. Its perfect for this Room ❤
Thanks Iris 🥰
No 1 on a larger scale, you need the delicate design , but on a larger scale. This room is a more delicate and subtle than the two bedrooms.
Someday I expect there will be a documentary on Terry. An artist, visionary and craftsman. We are all witnessing the unfolding of his gifts and passion.
I like the first one! The colors are perfect!
Thank you 🥰
I liked the first chandelier Terry hung. It seemed perfect to me and just right for a smaller room..
The first chandelier is so beautiful….fits the room perfectly ❤
Thank you 🥰
FYI - I did this when I was on buying sprees at salvage stores for one of my remodels. Take a photo of each thing you buy that may be packaged up (e.g. chandeliers but not furniture), print the pics and tape them onto the package before putting the package into storage.

Haha. Thanks Maggie 🥰
Your mum's right Terry #2. However when you panned out I went hmmm. You put doubt there lol. 😊
He must be sleeping, and from his dreams his inspirations are evolving into reality’s!
I am just so pround of u all...having done thia kind of work my whole 80 years i knew what u faced...
Thank you 🥰🥰
You've been fixing cheatues up for 80 years.
I love the first chandelier!❤
Thank you 🥰
What a gorgeous heart-breakingly beautiful chateau! You two did the world a service saving it and restoring everything. The soul and spirit is lovely and just think of all the life this chateau has witnessed. And what’s to come. Love from Canada.🇨🇦
Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
I sense many echos of the past especially when they were doing the walled garden.
I know that passion can be a burdensome task master, but I hope you give yourselves the time to decompress and just enjoy the life you are building. Thanks so much! 😊
I love the older chandelier.
Thanks Marilyn 🥰
I think I'm the only one who likes the 1st chandelier 😅
I prefer the first chandelier (but it’s hard to tell because it will look so different when it’s cleaned and sporting candle sleeves). The second one seems to be too full and not airy and open enough for the light atmosphere of the room. Neither chandelier seems to coordinate with the sconce which looks more heavy and angular.

I liked the first one, simple but elegant.
The first chandelier gets my vote. It’s elegant and understated and suits the room
I like the smaller first chandelier. You will have 4 wall sconces with 2 lights each and then the chandelier and that is very bright. This should not be lit up like a ballroom or entranceway.

I really loved the 1st. It wasn't too small. The ...patina (?), the ambiance (?)... it had a glow that I think comes from its age.
I think chandelier no 1 is the correct one for the room it just needs a clean. ❤
Thank you 🥰
Number one I thought was perfect.
Number two is for over a dining table.
I'm going to go against the current here as I prefer the 1st one (the old one) primarily as I love glass. Mantle columns look great. And you've given me an idea for my mantle. Another "just job".
😊
I so love the smaller one. But ..the second was perfect size. .
The first was more in keeping with the room.
I like the first chandelier better.

I like both chandelers but I think the first was better. It has a better form.😊
I liked the first one. Better when cleaned. The style is graceful.
I prefer the first chandelier. It was missing its crystals off the bottom bowl and that will add to its height. It also has a lighter more graceful feel to it. The second one is to squat looking and dense for the room.

The First Chandelier is my choice, seems to pickup the ceiling gold crosses somehow..it draws my eyes to them. Beautiful!
Second chandelier 👍 Terry the pillars look fantastic!!!!! You’re brilliant 👏👏👏👏👏 Excited to see the floors !!!!
Not sure about the wood pieces alongside od the fireplace but I like Terry's design eye, so I will anxiously wait. AS FOR THE chandelier , my choice is the first one from your UK home. I will say the second one is beautiful but too busy. Size ok but not for that room

Happy new year! 🥳
I like the first chandelier style better and I didn't see a difference in size.

Love the color on the walls ♥

2nd light is the best
Thanks Joanne 🥰
Everything is looking SPECTACULAR!

Such lovely work and inspiring owners. Happy New Year from 🇨🇦
Happy new year! 🥰🥰🇫🇷🇫🇷
Chandelier number one had elegant curves that went well with the arched panels. Don't think it was too small
I love the way the wood from the fireplace pillars, and everything else you mentioned, will tie in this room to the “wood room” almost as a preview. The suite is going to be exquisite!
I liked the first one the best.

The 2nd was the best fit. Your mom was right on
I prefer the first, older chandelier
Terry you are brilliant at your design ideas. You and your family make my sunday's. Thank you so much 🙏❤❤
Wow, thank you 🥰
I'm sure you'll find your chandelier, of the two, I prefer the style of the smaller one,but agree it's not big enough. Love as always from County Durham xxx ❤
Thanks so much Glenys 🥰🥰
I like the second chandelier, I think its large enough and elaborate enough. The main feature of the room should be the fireplace, not the chandelier this time. As you said, its a more elegant room rather than ornate. Plus you are still adding the wallpaper in the arches which will pretty special.
I agree with your mom, love the pillars just thought you’d be painting them to look original to the room.
I loved the first chandelier! Beautiful!
I like the second one, but Terry will know, once he has the right one👏🏻❤️
Thanks Jette 🥰
It is looking fabulous as always. I won't pick a chandelier as I know Terry won't be content until he finds one he is happy with. 😂❤
floooooooors... so excited.
I personally prefer the second one of the two you showed us. Can't wait to see these rooms completely furnished and competed.
We had two weeks off over Christmas and visited a beautiful spa 😊
LOVE how you repurpose materials, Terry! Beautiful job!
Thanks so much! 🥰
You’re right Terry…the chandelier is too small. It’s beautiful but not in scale.
Thanks Linda 🥰
Both of the chandeliers are beautiful, but I don't thing either does the room justice.
Thank you 🥰
I loved the look of the first Chandlier. I understand it is in your perspective that it is too small. But the elegance of the older one is my favorite.
Well done it’s looking wonderful.. I think you want a bigger chandelier than what you tried… bet your happy Terry shopping again lol🎉
Thanks Christine 🥰
Every video you reach new achievements I’m sure once the 401 is finished it’s going to look stunning again, like everything you do.👍👏🌟🍀💐
Thanks Coby 🥰🥰
Beautiful chandeliers, but both are too small. Gorgeous work y'all!
Thank you! 😊
Love the 2nd chandelier ❤
Thanks Alida 🥰
My personal choice is the second one. It’s stunning! The crystals just need a bit of warm soapy water and WOW! Everyone will be Gobsmacked as you say. xxxxxx good luck with the floors, they’ll be marvelous 💕💕💕 Alexandra in Florida
Think a view weeks and then all the painting is all done it looks stunning
Yep, bigger chandelier with more crystals. The room asks for more chandelier height. Your old house was also a treasure box! Your bedroom chandelier was gorgeous, it is such a pity it falls away in such a big room. Thinking chateau-sized is really something different. You will find it, I bet, as you usually do.
Yes! Thank you! 🥰
A wonderful new year to you all. The chateau is looking quite brilliant
Happy new year! 🥰🥰
I love the crystal chandeliers. Bigger and bigger is better! ❤
Thanks Dodi 🥰
Your right Terry it's not big enough! Looking fantastic everyone! Well done
Wow! I love this room in this video. I believe this room deserves a bigger, fancier chandelier to bring out the royal beauty it seems to be!
I loved the chandeliers but they were a little bit too small for the room. I think they needed to be a little bit on the wider side. Everything is looking so beautiful I can't wait to see it I'll come together completed.
Thank you 🥰🥰
I go with the 2nd chandelier... it's going to be a great year watching what all you get completed.... Hello 👋🏻 from Alhambra Southern California 🌴
I love the pillars above the fireplace they add elegance making the fireplace a focal point. ❤
Ash, you and Terry might be interested in checking out Millie and Louis/Belgrave. A Young couple restoring an old property in UK. They just put up a 45 min recap of the last nine months. I admire all of you guys who restore historic sites. Tracy too. She’s so talented with a paint brush and gold paint. 😊
Thanks Jean 🥰
I really like the second chandelier, BUT I think the room could take a slightly bigger one. More great progress guys xxx
You all are bundled up nice and warm in layers and layers of sweaters and jackets and your poor wee boy Patrick is wandering around naked and must be freezing. Dashunds have no coat to speak of so please please put a cosy sweater on your pup!
Also…fantastic job on the chateau! Everything is amazing and your channel is stellar, your work ethic and talents are absolutely brilliant and you are a truly lovely family! All the best in 2025! 🎉
Здравствуйте, любимая команда🥰. У вас, как всегда, всё прекрасно получается. С нетерпением жду продолжения 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you 🥰🥰
Both Chandeliers are absolutely gorgeous !!! , but most definitely need a larger Chandelier for that space.
Everything looks amazing, you guys do such great work.
Thanks so much! 😊
Personally I liked the second chandelier with the gold structures matching the gold already in the room. It is hard to tell until it’s fitted fully, but as usual I’m sure we will trust Terry’s vision, even if it means searching for another. On the shelf with the wooden pillars, but as Tracey says it may come into its own when all the wooden furniture is brought in. Looking forward to seeing the floors brought back to their former glory. ❤❤❤❤
Oh Terry The Second One , 👌👍,Perfect 💕💕💕💕
