Seeing Johnathan drive the tractor on his own makes me happy! He's growing up learning so much from all of you. Amazing work, the flowers and the garden are going to be lovely!

One of my favorite things to see is when the drone goes by something outside and I catch a glimpse of something and I tell myself, “I remember when they built that, or when they pulled that out, or when they planted that”, and these pleasant memories come flooding back. I just had that happen when I saw the wall ya’ll built coming into your inside entrance. Thanks so much!!! 😊
Patrick was going right after that big root/stick! Sometimes I’m worried that Patrick will get stepped on, because he wants to be so close to the action. I have a miniature dachshund, with a very big personality also!
I thought I'd been seeing only one Westie. Miss seeing the three of them together. I have a life-sized model of my grandfather's Westie in my living room. I rub its nose every time I pass it, so the paint is rubbing off. A big hug to all of you for your loss.

The driveway and gardens will look amazing. Can’t wait for the wildflowers burst into bloom. So sorry about Louie. It’s never easy losing a fur baby 😢🙏
On our property we have 1 acre in prairie. It consists of several types of prairie grasses and prairie flowers (forbes). Each year we have to burn it which we do in the very early spring. So many of the prairie flowers have to have heat to burst their seed pods. The fire does this and then the seeds are released for new growth. Every year the prairie looks wonderful with it many colors. Will you have to burn your wildflowers to get the pods to release their seeds? HUGS to all of you as you mourn sweet Louie. My daughter loves the Westie breed and has has to say good bye to her sweet Mollee. She now has Westie named Miss Scarlett. The Westie are such a loving breed of dogs.
Thanks Vicki. I’m not sure. We will have to see :) the topper on the tractor should be enough to smash the pods open, but we will not know until the end of the year 😊😊
I am so sorry for the loss of Louie . The garden will look great once its done. Also the driveway with all the wild flowers . I hope you have a wonderful week

Hi Ash: I might suggest that when you plant seeds, use a good amount of sterile sand in the seed mix which allows for more "even" ground coverage without accidentally missing spots. I think you'll find this very helpful for any seed-sowing wheher flowers or veg. Take care and good luck, DA.
Wow, you three have accomplished so much. My back started feeling sore just by watching how hard you were working to pull up those roots! Can't wait to see what it's going to look like once the garden has been planted and everything starts growing under the beautiful French sun.

Seeing the overhead shots of the garden with the tractor in it really shows just how large it is. Love the border of the wildflowers along the drive and the cart at the entry is so welcoming. Can't wait to see the development of the gardens!
It makes sense to work on the various garden and outside spots now. Nice to hear that you are thinking ahead to another building phase with a shower block. There is much potential for you to work with!
When the tractor was halted in its tracks trying to pull that root out, I was gobsmacked! Wow! Also, it was great watching Jonathan drive the tractor; he's such a help! Great work everyone, and maybe Terry will discover those original paths at some point. Maybe.
The garden looks very promising.I can imagine what a backbreaking job it is to get the soil useable again. Tracy mentioned that you want to use plastic to cover the ground to protect against weeds. But that kills the microorganisms in the ground and lets the ground rot. You can better use cardboard the has no or little print on it and no sticky tape instead. Worms love it and it suppresses weeds very well and will just dissolve. I know that you can't wait to start to make the garden, but it might be a good idea to sow lupines for a year, they are very beneficial to the ground when you plough them under as a green fertilizer. Also a lot of wild seeds will spring up, that are still in the ground and the lupines will grow over them. Like that you will have a much better soil next year and much less work.
OK your all cute - but the cutest is Jonathan and Patrick! Jonathan did great driving the tractor! I'm not sure what Patrick thought he was going to do with the tree root, but he made me laugh! Have a great week ahead.
That certainly was hard work clearing that walled garden, but the effort you all put into it is certainly going to be worth it. Jonathan did so well helping as well as Patrick. So sad about Louie but Sasha looks realky healthy for her age. The wild flowers will be a spectacular addition to the driveway, I do love that old cart full of flowers at the front gate, Tracy's touch again. Well done everyone you are all doing an amazing job. 💕🇦🇺
Sooooo much work it's making ME tired just watching! Tremendous! I hope you all know how incredible you all are! I look forward to each episode, knowing we're going to see great progress.
That drone view of the tilling in the walled garden was spectacular. Rocks, stumps and roots are slowly disappearing after the many rounds of rotovating (we call it rototilling) It is truly becoming a fertile, level foundation just waiting for planting of your beautiful formal English garden. Sorry that you lost Louis💔 but you are still blessed to have a healthy Sasha and Patrick. We can only love them for as long as they are given to us❤️
Just a hint with the nasturtiums: they need to break dormancy-I put mine in cold water in my refrigerator for 1-2 weeks, changing the water every other day. They looks really good in long troughs hanging over the side too. Something to keep in mind for next year.
I so enjoy and appreciate the extra weekly vlog post. Thank you for continuing on with it. I find that I can't get enough of your adventures in château ownership. The walled garden is looking wonderful. Bravo to you all for your monumental efforts. The wild flowers will look amazing. I can't wait until they start to bloom. Two million seeds ought to produce quite a display. I love the old glass awnings and I hope that you plan to restore them. They add such a classically chic look to buildings. All of the magnificent edifices during la belle epoch seem to have had them. I don't need to know all of the intimate detail of your personal lives, but know that you are all five in my prayers.🙏 I seems odd to care so much for people whom I've never met, but I've grown quite fond of you all. ❤❤❤❤❤ from TX.
How lucky are you guys to have such a helpful strong Mum.Shes a credit to herself.❤

When the tractor was halted in its tracks trying to pull that root out, I was gobsmacked! Wow! Also, it was great watching Jonathan drive the tractor; he's such a help! Great work everyone, and maybe Terry will discover those original paths at some point. Maybe.
Thanks Lin 😊😊
Can’t wait to see all those flowers blooming.❤
Love your sausage dog! He is very curious and looks to be a bit of a character!
Super satisfying to see last year's work coming up and blooming! 🌷🌷🌷Outstanding work, Team Lalacelle! Now you need bee hives!! 🐝🐝🐝
We can only love them for as long as they are given to us❤️
Thanks Britta. Very true! We try and make every day special for them 😊😊
I enjoyed seeing Patrick chasing the huge crocodile stump out of the garden. 😀
really looking forward to see all those wildflowers growing!
Me too Jane 😊😊
I don't need to know all of the intimate detail of your personal lives, but know that you are all five in my prayers.🙏
I seems odd to care so much for people whom I've never met, but I've grown quite fond of you all.
❤❤❤❤❤ from TX.
Thank you so much for your kind words Ray :)
We will be restoring the awnings too!
Brilliant you are amazing,it always a pleasure to see how you are making the chateau into a wonderful home.Eileen
