I love that medical was supportive of you and actually listened to you when you described your injury and symptoms. Most cruise ships' medical are only looking to prove that the crew member isn't actually sick or injured, and get them back to work as soon as possible. It could be different for cast members vs. regular crew, though.
@@jbauth this is WONDERFUL to hear...and thank u for taking us into med w u...i pray none of us ever have to go to med on a cruise ...that said ...because u toom us w u it is less scary now and it was obvious this med team cared about u as a person!
We can all see what a wonderful ice skate partner Graeme has been. Learning all these lifts together is gonna be helpful with any partner you're gonna have or he. Glad that the minor injury is gone. I hope it doesn't show up this last couple of days. Enjoy these last days of the contract. I can't wait to see what's next for you.
Ahhhhhh !!! You and Graeme have a nice connection/friendship ! Wish you guys were together on the next contract! Luv seeing him on your channel/videos!!!! Enjoy your last few days of this contract !!!!!
I’m sad that this contract is over now. I miss your vlogs during your contracts when you are back home. Don’t get me wrong I still love your vlogs when you are home too, I just really love seeing you visiting all the different ports and exploring, as well as seeing your ship life. It’s different content then other UA-camrs I watch. Looking forward to seeing what’s coming next :)
Glad to hear you made a quick recovery. Ziplining looked like a blast. Are the resorts free for cruise ship staff? I love watching you and Graeme skate together. We will miss seeing him when you start your new contract. It has to be hard leaving friends behind when you start a new contract. Graeme needs to start a UA-cam channel. Looking forward to hear what's next for you.
Hi Jordan- it’s a shame your contract is coming to an end, I absolutely love your vlogs and have been binge watching them since I found your channel couple of weeks ago - I’m going to watch this later as I’m waiting for the nurse to come in to give me my medication - I suffered with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and lupus, and I live in a rehabilitation centre, I can only dream about the places you have visited, even though I travelled in my younger days - sending loads of love and loads of hugs ~ Xxx Xxx
Jordan, so sorry about your injury but glad it didn’t take that long to be back on the ice. I will miss seeing Graeme in your videos on your next contract. I am in the Southern Caribbean on the Jewel now but our ships do not dock at the same time. Enjoy your time off and can’t wait to hear where you go next.
So glad you’re feeling better. Also, saw some familiar faces at the dinner with the new cast. JD and Alexis are from my hometown! It’s such a small world. Can’t wait to hear what you’re doing next!
I had never thought I would be interested in watching an ice skating show on a cruise ship... BUT, after watching your videos over the past couple years, we will have this item on our checklist for our next Royal sailing. Heck... maybe we will get lucky and be on a ship that you are assigned to, if that is in the 'cards'. And then we can see you skate and definitely yell out, "Hey Jordon!".
Soo glad you are doing better and able to continue til the end of the contract. Love the Dirty Dancing lift that you do w/ partner. Hope you have a well deserved break and look forward to more vlogs!
Totally relate with the groin pain. Had stage 4 osteoarthritis in my hip and shots didn't help so i had to get it replaced. The recovery was also painful and I still have issues occasionally but definitely way better than before!
So glad you weathered the groin-storm! I really admire the disciplined way you coaxed your body back into working order. Any chance you and Graham might in future get a contract as a pair? Or isn't that how it works? Looking forward to watching your sign-off and return home. Take care. 👍
I’m so sorry you are having issues with your groin but I’m so happy you got to get back on the ice!! Your face showed how excited you were to get back out there and it really shows what a passion you have for what you do. Very happy you didn’t have to leave the ship and your contract ending is bittersweet - this seems like it was your most adventurous contract yet! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
That’s come round so quick, so glad your body has cooperated and your recovery was quick… loved Explorer of the seas, great ship!! Onwards and upwards, looking forward to your new adventures!!!
Those pups reminded me of Coco. So sweet. Glad you recovered well and were able to skate again. As always it’s such a pleasure to follow along on your adventures. Hugs from Houston ❤
Im glad your ok❤ im so sad evertime i book on the ship your on my reservation is for a few days after you leave😢 1 day ill get to see you skate in person!!! Ill be the 1 youll deffintly know is there for your skating❤
So sorry! I just recently got diagnosed with Calcific Tendonitis of the shoulder and couldn't lift it for a week, so painful! it was so hard to just sit around and heal so i know how you felt!.Awwww the pups, Aren't you so happy to see Coco soon!!
Hope you're feeling better. I get the part about not staying busy. 2 dogs slammed into me from behind at our local dog park. They broke my tib/fib and ankle. I had surgery and had to cancel our Celebrity Great Barrier Reef cruise that left on Feb 25th. This happened 9 days before we were supposed to leave for Australia. I'm wearing a boot, but can't bear any weight for 3 more weeks. So, so boring.
I don't know if you have ever tried one, but I love my Aeropress when I travel for making single cups of coffee. I see you already have an electric kettle, which is the other part I travel with. It is amazing with much easier cleanup vs a French Press and takes up less room than a Nespresso or Keurig.
Hi Jordan! I just got off Oasis last week and found all of these crew videos, which are awesome. You're incredibly talented. I was amazed at Studio B on Oasis. Something I've been wondering and to which I cannot seem to get an answer is whether skaters are former Olympic participants/hopefuls/something else? What are your backgrounds? Growing up in New England and skating my entire life, I've always watched in amazement the skills of all of you skaters. I hope to see you one of these days on Royal. They're the best IMO.
I'm not Jordan lol, but am a skater so can hopefully help. They're junior/senior level skaters (Olympic level), but most skaters have never or will never go to the Olympics. I don't think the public ever seems to grasp that only a couple of people from each country get to go to the Olympics, and only every four years, so for 99.9999% this is not possible. They are still amazing skaters and there are so many more competitions out there that are not the Olympics, so most will have a competitive background (though Jordan did go to the youth Olympics!) Show skating also requires a lot more than just technical difficulty, so a lot of even top ranked world skaters would not necessarily be good in shows, you really need the personality and musicality too.
@@eljj7968 Thanks so much for your thoughtful reply. I completely understand the difficulty of Olympic acceptance. It's a tiny chance every four years. Paris is right around the corner. I've just always been curious where Olympians and Olympic hopefuls go after the Olympics or Olympic dreams are over and this seems to be a great place to go. I wondered that about the Aqua show performers on Oasis also. The talent is incredible. I've never known what options are available to them once that part of their life is over until seeing my own Studio B performance (as well as Jordan on Explorer of course). Royal's got over 30 ships-- not sure how many with ice rinks. That's a heck of a lot of incredibly talented skaters.
@@stanhelinski1 Yes there are far more amazing skaters in the world than opportunities unfortunately. A lot of former Olympians do shows like stars on ice because they have a big name behind them (those touring shows usually just take people with big names - who have been to Olympics or World Championships). But like I say, so many other great skaters out there who don't necessarily compete at a high level but go on to do shows.
Great video. What resort were you at on St Kitts? We will be on a 13 night on Jewel of the Seas in two weeks and I’m trying to find great places to visit.❤
Glad you are ok, do you have the ability to get massotherapy or acupuncture onboard for injuries like this. I would recommend dry needling for this type of injury if it were available but acupuncture is a good option too.
Sensitive? Yes... Icy hot and groin are two words that shouldn't be used together! In highschool and college in the 70/80s a standard locker room prank was Ben Gay in the jock. I'm disappointed RC doesn't do a better job for its performers like ice and dance cast by having at least one person on medical staff trained to deal with injuries and rehab. There are a lot of crew who are susceptible to injuries too and could use the help. I guess it's just cheaper for RC to send people home than treat them to return to duty quickly and not reinjure themselves. So glad you are okay but you are an athlete and need trainers. Dancers too
Would they have sent you home early from your contact if you needed a little more time? I’m so glad that didn’t happen!!? So hard with the end so near.

Groin pulls can be problematic. You can get hurt doing the simplest things. A former coworker tore her ACL getting out of bed.
