Three of these Henchels were acquired from an abandoned sugar mill in Thailand by an english chap associated with Massey Ferguson. One was sent to Wales and the other two came to Australia when the owner imigrated here. The one in Wales was statically restored and displayed at a museum (may have been fully restored by now) while the one in Queensland was stripped for restoration but never put back together. I remember 103 ran for a while in a park near the Westgate Bridge in Melbourne for a period. That was in the late 70s/early 80s.

Never saw this loco when it was up there, know nothing about it. Only thing springs to mind is that it looks like the one that used to run around coal creek many moons ago! I dont even know if that railway was (or is still maybe?) 2'6" it was that long ago!

The loco seen here wasnt the one to run at Coal Creek. That one is still on site. It runs 2 Foot gauge.
The Henchel Engine here is at a private property in the Latrob Valley.
