    I never thought much, if any, about Helium. This presentation was incredibly interesting and informative. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us!

    Fabulous documentary (all four videos). My knowledge of helium was limited to "I think it comes out of the ground" and "it's in the Goodyear blimp." Now I have a much better understanding of it. Thank you for your hard work!

    A very interesting series. I grew up in SW Kansas and now live in the Oklahoma panhandle. All of the cities you mention are nearby and familiar. A great history on helium and lots of information I'd never heard. Thank you for doing the research and posting the videos!

      Thank you! BTW.. a new 3D printed HO scale kit is now available from BeaverModels. It includes proper trucks and is a perfect as one could ask. Email is BeaverModels@aeroimage.com

    I discovered an Helium tube car in my storage. I don''t remember when and why I bought it and had no idea for the purpose of it. I just discovered the real purpose of this car with you channel. Thank you for that.
    Now. I model modern railroading, I am planning to re-paint the car following your description (It is yellow and labeled UP # 4625), I know now that is really bad and un-realsitic. However, since this is my railroad in the Los Angeles area, I can move this car to Vanderberg or Edward, can't I. You mentioned a PDF file for the cars on request. Thank you for that, and the very informative video set. Just following you.

    Thanks for all your work both printed and these videos. I am planning on building an HO scale model kit and I want to do it right. I have a truck modeled and printed in 3d for a friction bearing version. I would like to send you a sample to see what you think. I just sent a set to a buddy of mine, Pat Bray.

    Jay, great presentation. I really enjoyed the information.
    I have a question. In one of your photos, it appears the MAGOR built cars were all painted silver. Not the car body battle ship gray and the tubes silver, but everything silver. Is that correct?

    • @Radiotexas
      @Radiotexas  2 роки тому +1

      That is correct-- as far as I know. By 1961 when the Magor cars were delivered I think the Bureau of Mines has given up on two or three color paint jobs! Natural weathering, however, often changes the look of cars in photographs. Thanks for watching and your question.

    Has anyone modeled a tank car in 1/8 scale?
