I dont get why so many people dislike these magic blasts. I agree that the inconsistencies can be bad but i think the effects and how they look are unique and quite beautiful
It's so satisfying to see just how powerful Emma and Regina are when they combine their magic together. Really attesting to the Emma's dialogue to Regina where she said that they are both unique and special which makes them the two people who connect deeply with each other (platonic or not y'all don't come for my ass this is literally canon)
I like that Regina used a energy blast to tie Peter pans shadow to the sail so that captain hooks ship could fly & emma & Regina work together & use a energy blast on mr Hyde & i love captain hooks daughter alice used a energy blast to fight mother gothel & mother gothel was turned into a tree for good in once upon a time season 7
The scene at 1:16 reveals that practice makes…pretty poses :^D (Edit: That is to say, Regina’s startup was much better practiced and stylized than Emma’s hesitant one)
Emma was still fairly new at magic, so it was more of an, ok, I’m going to shoot a magic blast too, start up, where as Regina knows how to use magic, so she just did it. That’s how it looked like in my opinion.
They probably didn’t have a lot of money for good special affects back then. A lot of companies had that issue, like with Shadow hunters and few other supernatural or mythical series.
@@MrsLPAmy no 2:50 was the worst. You could so see the CGI on the close-up of the hands... Even when I watched the show the first time I just thought they forgot to put the final editing in...
Now I know how people are around here when they don't talk it's because they lost a fight bwahahahahaha. I wish they would try and step up too me...😅 Regina use you powers on those sorry excuses for family members that are up there asses all day.

The potential this show could of had with a bigger budget and better CGI
I’m glad they improved the effect for magic blasts to look more wispy in some episodes. The regular effect looks so crusty.
