It’s such a satisfaction to sort out Lego by color, especially when you have enough storage space to do so ☺️ I’m still thinking if I want to sort my Lego by color or by parts 🤔
I find that it is harder for me to quickly identify distinct elements if they are the same trans color (as opposed to the solid colors). Because elements tend to "self-migrate" for me with these organizers, I keep distinct elements of the same trans color a few sections away from one another (migrated elements can be placed back more readily because it is quicker to identify that an element does not belong by its different trans color). So, rather than all of the same color near each other, the organizer ends up having more of a kaleidoscope appearance.
I’ve been going through sorting hell lately with my collection lol. I’ve needed to buy so many more drawers. Nice to see that someone else is doing it too. I don’t actually think it’s hell tbh I just have sorted about 6,000 Lego pieces over the past 2 weeks lol
What would you say are the benefits to sorting your pieces by colour like this, instead of by part type? I have mine sorted so that like.. there's one bin that's only the cheese slopes. One bin is only technic pins, one's only tiles, one's only snot-bricks, one's only antennas, one's only spinners, one's only inverted sloped bricks, etc.. I also have a process where I will stack similar parts, so for example: while I have one bin for all the white plates, I have them organized in that bin by stacking together all the 2x4 plates (offset so they're easy to get apart), and likewise all the 1x6, and all the 2x8 and so on. I find this helps because when I find the 2x4 plates, I can quickly look and see exactly how many there are and grab as many as I need. The actual stacking process is a time sink I admit, and the tetris game of fitting them in the bin is tricky sometimes, but still. I can't imagine looking through a sea of red bits looking for that one specific part..
I like having all on one color in front of me so if I'm building something in that color I can see all my available options. It also makes the build station look cooler :P I will likely do a video on this soon!
Man, I wish I had this variety of clear bricks. 95% of my transparent brick collection is just trans clear headlight bricks from the Pick-a-Brick wall.
You might want to look at the LEGO Classic 11013 Transparent Bricks set. Unfortunately not 100% trans parts, but a decent variety of types and colours. A good variety of non-trans bricks as well.
Omg, you have lots of transparent pieces I only keep all my pieces for colors and on plastic bags jsjsjs I don't have money or space to buy boxes for each type of piece jsjs
@@bricksculptI recently reorganized my entire house (🙈) and found soms tweezers that are probably 30 years old (I'm 39) 😅. I put them in my new LEGO cabinet, because I saw you use them. Thanks for the idea!
Came only for the pun in the title, but wound up with a question. Where do you get your bins? I also live in the Midwest so if you buy them at a brick-n-mortar store odds are I have one near me too.
Find it strange i have no regret about watching someone organizing lego for 3 minutes.
Not strange to me lol
I don’t even bat an eye at 30 mins. Love this content!
You have such a great channel, man. Thank you
Wow! Thank you so much!

I like color but part is more popular.
Lego - Forever sorting! Haha!
Yes constantly

Wow that's a daunting task.

Trans clear headlight is a great piece to have!

I loove trans neons. You could make some wicked neon billboards for your city! They phosphoresce under UV, which you did just buy as well.
Yeah I should try that!
Trans bins yay ⚧
Ba-dum-tssch 🥁
Very soothing video. How many of these bins do you currently have?
Omg, you have lots of transparent pieces

Yeah they have been growing fast.
Tell us something about the tweezers.
Those tweezers are absolutely essential, at least for the little bins I use!

I cover it in this video.

The gradation of colours into a rainbow is very pleasing.
Thanks
Nothing more satisfying than sorting out LEGO! 😊
It really is!
Hi
Hi
As a literal TransWoman, I approve of the new trans bins arrangement... 🙂🏳️🌈
