    So 100% true about the no insurance free work. Its in the logistics business also guys running without the proper insurance they don't last. They still have an employee mindset then they ask themselves how they go broke when there equipment is also depreciating over time hrs/miles. Funny part is I still make more than those undercuts. SMH wishing yall the best.

    Another great video Justin. You got to be kidding me I have to replace my equipment when it wears out, but I paid cash for it. It's never going to wear out. I see that crap all the time. The reality of is that you better be putting 10-15 grand a year away per year if you want to pay cash for a replacement truc

Can you tell me how you come up with your price per ton? Is that based off what the waste fee is at landfill or what?

  • @hhprogressiveconstruction1140
    @hhprogressiveconstruction1140 2 роки тому +3

    This is why you have to raise prices every year . Keep up with business costs and stay ahead of inflation . Leaving money on the table is so right I wish people would understand that . I think like you said the dumpster business is scale . The more you have the more you make per dumpster profit wise .

It how bad you want it to make it. I've have spoke with so many buinsess owners and they say they have no money and there building new homes driving 100k cars around nope there doing just fine just want to complain about stuff. Well if you paying 200 dollars per ton. You can't give 2 tons of Disposal included. And make any money. Especially if most companies are only charging 100 to 125 more. If you charge 400 dollars 1 ton 10yd or 15yd included and pay 200 per ton. But other companies charge 500 to 525 for 2 tons Disposal included on a 15yd Dumpster Because they only get charged 125 per ton.. instead of 200 dollars per ton. How's that work.

    • @Lifes_Apprentice
      @Lifes_Apprentice  2 роки тому +1

      If your dump fees are 200/ton you cannot include 2 tons without a higher price. the other companies have alot of data that allow them to know there costs. we pay the same amount per ton as the big guys in my area as far as i know but i am sure in certain scenarios they pay less...hell, the big guys or shell companies own most of the landfills so it is easy

    • @Adam-qt6qq
      @Adam-qt6qq 2 роки тому +1

      @@Lifes_Apprentice yeah you'd have to add 200 dollars more to the cost for the 2 tons. Which would be 600 dollars for 2 tons included. And if other companies are charging 500 525 for 2 tons. No one will want to pay 75 to 100 dollars more for your services.
