What’s in the box….. great reference.
Thanks! :D
Got one of these at the beginning of this summer and it is a game changer! Versatile and can be mounted up or down (recommend down to protect from the wind). A+ review! Thanks!
You're welcome! Glad you're liking yours - I never heard of mounting the perch upside down, that's pretty cool. It doesn't interfere with lock to lock steering?
Thanks for putting this up, next farkle on my list.
Hope you enjoy it!
Really helpful thank you Bro
You're welcome! :D
Great video. This will definitely help me when I install mine later today.
I wear a full face modular helmet, so I’m going to have to use straws for drinking.
Glad it helped! In lieu of a straw, you could limit your hydration to just at stops, when you can flip up the front... I am pretty sure that's what my buddy does when he rides [he has a cupholder on his bike, too]
really nice drink holder, well done
Thanks Wayne, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Fyi, you can loosen the Allen head bolt on the top of the perch mount and swivel the entire mount side to side. I found that gave me more adjustment which I felt I needed
Thanks for the tip!
Bro you’re a trip. Thanks for the review now I can go ahead and order one. “Coffee lover revive!” Hahaha
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it... now you'll be able to enjoy YOUR coffee on the go! :D
This is like the main thing Ive been telling myself to get, but never ordered one. Now I have no excuse to ride 😅 Great video boss man!
Awesome, glad I could help! :D
Love mine.
Just for the coffee
Absolutely! Works great to hold a coffee tumbler :D
Jeez! You're gonna have to use a torch to get those bolts out with all that lock tight 😮
HAHA, yeah, oops. Actually, maybe not - I had the dealer install heated grips last time the bike was in for service, so I'm pretty sure they had to remove my cupholder to do that... and they never complained :D
Is that top chrome part chromed aluminum like the perch or is it chrome plastic? I have not seen one in person yet and no one has been able to answer on this yet. Thanks.
I'm pretty sure it's plastic. The perch is aluminum like you said, but AFAIK, the rest I'd plastic and rubber. Still durable though- I've Bern using this thing on almost every ride with no noticeable wear.
Mine always moving around won’t stay tight
Check back Monday, I have a video coming out on this - it might be why yours isn't tightening... but generally, the plastic nut has to be super snug or it'll move around.
Are the bolts supposed to be tightened down with torque wrench?
They don't have to be, especially if you use a thread locker like I did. Getting them good & snug will be sufficient.
Cool. I have always used cup holders. I like to drink and ride.😲 Not that kind of drink! Non alcoholic drinks only.👍🏻
I was joking with my wife earlier today that I ought to get a bottle of root beer or something and ride around drinking it... we agreed that even a non-alcoholic beer may be a bad idea, but root beer would be hilarious, especially one of the kinds that comes in a beer-like bottle!
This is the first time I've had a cup holder on a bike... I've always had to drink my water or coffee when I stopped for battery swaps or gas or whatever, and I quite frequently get dehydrated. This goes a long way towards preventing that!
Will it fit a 1200 xl sportster custom
Their web site says it will, but I'd email or call them to confirm before purchasing. Thanks for watching!
I like your jacket who makes it?
Thanks - it's a Castle Gear jacket I've had for probably 15-20 years.
