Thanks to channel supporter Tomasz for today's request - fielding the infamous Tohaa Gorgos. Tomasz has been getting good use out of the TAG and it was an excuse for me to run a proper meme list after multiple games of PanOceania. The only way this list can run out of template weapons is if every last model is dead or dying.

More infinity 101 please! Love your breakdowns of different aspects, would be great to have a resource explaining more nuance to the the different parts of the game.

i was today years old, when i realized you can split to strip orders from different groups when using command tokens for strategic use!

Tomasz here - thanks for the batrep! A very interesting take on the list, not gonna lie, totally different from what I played.
Here's my list (posted below in a separate comment as well)

I tried to lean into classic Tohaa strengths, basically exchanging the 2nd Taqeul and third triad for a Gorgos (Kriigels are baby Taqeuls tho, sometimes even more dangerous to multiwound models in aro, so you kind of still have the 2 Taqeul setup). And I 100% agree on both Tohaa leaving bodies and Chaksa peripherals being really strong - it's been my experience as well and on multiple occasions I wish I had a paramedic.
What I meant by "fitting into Tohaa strengths" was that Tohaa can be suppressed by strong ARO pieces and ablative templates (mines, disposable models in the midfield) and fail at piercing deep into enemy territory to do the most possible damage. Gorgos can just waltz right in, tanking mines and templates, clearing a path for an otherwise fairly squishy triad to either do objectives or make a follow-up attack. And while you can just smoke past enemy AROs, I feel like that just sweeps the problem under the rug to have it emerge next turn with your opponent's untouched order pool. I played my Gorgos really aggressively once the initial poke phase (Greif, Liberto etc) was over, pushing her deep and sometimes even leaving her on a flank, accepting that she might die, basically forcing my opponents to solve the problem themselves

Thanks for posting this list - it's interesting that you say that "Tohaa can be suppressed by strong ARO pieces and ablative templates and fail at piercing deep into enemy territory to do the most possible damage" - my experience is the exact opposite! Thanks to plentiful eclipse, ablative wounds, sybiomates and best-in-class peripheral troops I've found that Tohaa are generally impossible to supress with strong ARO pieces (unless your opponent also eliminates all your sources of eclipse) and can trade out midfield pieces easily.
Where the gorgos does start to differentiate itself is speed. With very few exceptions (really just preceptors), tohaa are a faction of 4-4 or equivalent movement. Even rasails are 4-4, which shackles their 6-4 chaksa peripherals a little. This means that the main limitation on a deep tohaa attack is order count, since you need to physically cross the table in addition to spending whatever orders are necessary to enable that movement. The gorgos and peripheral by comparison are relatively unfettered at 6-4 move and carry sufficient firepower to really capitalise on that deep penetration attack, provided your opponent either has no hacking or you're able to circumvent it.

@@R0bertShepherd darn, forgot to reply - agreed on speed and general lack of upward mobility (one of the reasons I really like the humble beasthunter is his super-jump, adding a tiny bit of off-angle attack power). Gorgos also stood out to me as unusually fast in Tohaa terms and it felt quite nice to finally have a fast piece that's able to advance and retreat if needed.
Imo Tohaa's ablative wounds are cool and all until you're forced to walk past a mine. Do you a. risk a dodge on an 8 b. risk a dodge on a 10, potentially losing a makaul c. ignore the dodge and hope you'll tank it, risking either losing a wound on a Taqeul or a Sukeul
Trading a Chaksa for a mine also seems like a waste to me, with how much potential damage they can do
Hence why I like the Gorgos - arm 7 is good enough for face tanking.
It might also be my bias, as I play a lot against vAri and their damn midfield - and they have mines and templates everywhere, willing to chip at my symbionts whenever possible
I will definitely have to play more using Tohaa peripherals though!

Kaauri paramedic is burst 2 on its own, so something like that hanging around might do the trick

Just noticed the other day, that Tohaa does not get the Paramedic Kaauri, only Spiral does - been mostly looking at Spiral, so didn't even think about it

Your opponent may want to be concious of the threat of drop bears if they're packing out the objective room like that.
I went rogue on my gameplan after a key piece got obliterated so just started throwing bears, when I busted in with a Morlock and provoked AROs I absolutely cleaned up house.

Armory has narrow gates. The Devil Dog cannot enter the room.
