Merry Christmas to you, Tim, and all of your crew! The largest tap job I was ever on was back in 1997 when we took a 36” off of a 48” Concrete pressure pipe live just north of Toronto. It was almost a two day job but very interesting!
Nice Job !! I see we got a new mini ?? Hoping we can go from backhoe to mini so much easier and less of footprint then a backhoe 👍 We always check to make sure we are not with 2ft of a bell or it can crack and blow water everywhere and more work for the guys lol
I don't know that it's better than pex honestly. We use it alot. I believe it's polypropylene that is copper tube size. Thick stuff and uses compression fittings.
Greetings from Texas, I do the same kind of work for the city of Houston 16yrs, looking at your video you guys have done a great job!!
Thank you!
Ever tap one of those and the main blow out, that stuff is crazy
You guys do good work.

That's huge! That would definitely be interesting to see! Merry Christmas to you all as well!
Can you make a video about the case backhoe switching from hammer to bucket
I do the same work for the city of Athens Georgia
We have all ductile iron water mains
Search, find, dig, repair/install, test, refill, hooray !
Great job Tim and crew it looks good. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy New Year. 🎅🏻🎄🥳🎉
You as well John!
Nice Job !!

Thanks! We did get a new machine. I need to "introduce" it in my next video! I love the minis for the work we do. Have a Merry Christmas!
Dang get the trench it in to, either we drill it in or have to open cut with a mini, we cant use trenchers cause they worried about damages
We actually ordered a drill in May and are still waiting on it. This job would have been a lot cleaner with it!
Hi, this may sound like a ridiculous question but why copper pipe off the main why not PE pipe
We use copper to support the type of meter settings we install. Definitely expensive.
I'm curious anyone know what the trace wire is for that they added at the ending the blue one
We put that in for our own use to locate since it's a city service.
Location, I wish they would make a rule that all plastic pipe requires tracer make my job a whole lot easier
Maybe a bit of water on your broom.
Did you guys get a new mini?
We did! I'll have to "introduce" it next video! Lol
What type of plastic pipe is that? Is it better than pex?

Looks to be hdpe, performance pipe makes it
What kind of tapper is that?
It's just the bit off a normal hand crank tapper that we stick in a drill. Not sure of the brand though.
