Painting an epic beast with HD Stencils - Dragon airbrush speed-painting on Custom Harley Davidson

It took me hours to tame this beast and I used a Custom HD Stencil from www.hdstencils... to help me speed up the process. The HD Stencils also provide perfect proportions from the start.
After the HD Stencil layout is done is all free-hand techniques to airbrush the values and textures. I also used a bunch of paint removal techniques on this one.

It came out looking cool but using so much black in the beginning to me is a waste of time. It's more erasing than airbrushing.

You're right some paintings don't have to be airbrushed. Airbrush is just one of the tools in the arsenal
