yea lost a socket in the damned body the other day - almost certain I got this sucker in the grooves but the new belt is squealing - I expected it to initially just a new belt but when I reved the engine it continued to squeak going to have to recheck that groove thanks for the vid!
Hard to say but I think the belt might be in the grooves other wise the belt would of came off already or it would be pretty chew up by now, you might have a loose pully but hopefully you get it figured out
Big emphasis on the part about not dropping the bolt into the frame. Its basically impossible to get it back out. I found a bolt from menards part number 88287, says its a M10-1.5 Thread, 70 mm OAL, 10.9 Grade. It worked for me so far, big tip is to jam some shop rags down around it if you need to bring the bolt through the access hole but otherwise try and go from next to the engine
Number one rule don't drop 🔩 it happens tho Try 🔦 with a magnet for auto work it's long and flexible u ca get at autozone or push come To shove just go buy a new one
It would make noise if you want to isolate the noise i would recommend taking the belt off and running the engine the water pump on a 2.4 is chain driven so the car will not over heat it will set a light for the charging system but will go away once you put the belt back on, if the noise goes away with the belt off spin all the pullys and see where the noise is coming from , but if the noise still there with the belt off then its a different problem.
Thanks for the video, I definitely can do this

What size is the bolt...
You need a 15 mm socket
This for the 3.6?
No, its for the 2.4 ecotec
What do you do if you drop the bolt in that part of the body?
Would try to get out with a magnet but i would be really hard to get out, you vcould try and get it out other wise your going to have to buy a new one
Thank you I got it out!

Would a bad tensioner and belt cause louder engine sound? like a hissing?

@@MTG6.2 Excellent. God bless. Thank u
Why didn’t you remove the tire
