- One of the most versatile A-class car in Forza Horizon 5 and it is an awesome car to drive! The newly released car pass car the 2019 Subaru WRX STI S209 works really well both road and dirt in A-Class and it comes with a Varis Widebody kit. Showcasing the car's performance in Online Horizon Open Racing lobbies. Though I highly recommend the non-widebody version due to its fun handling!

2019 Subaru WRX STI S209 A-Class Performance Review:
One of my favourite cars to drive in this game. I highly recommend the non-widebody one over the Varis kit version. It has such a fun handling that allows you to slide around while still being fast. The 3rd race in the wet should tell you how much fun I had. It is still a good A-class car, regardless of which build you go for.
The Varis Bodykit tune is only for road with great overall performance. The downside is it does have a bit of low speed understeer as the car relies on downforce to turn. But it is still a great all-rounder. Its top end does suffer a bit due to downforce drag.
The non-widebody version tune works both road and dirt. You will still lose to dedicated dirt cars on the dirt but since most of the dirt tracks are mixed surfaces, once you hit the road section, this thing flies with its cornering speed. It is a very balanced car and you won't go wrong bringing this to road or dirt races.

It's definitely fast! I have a buick regal gnx tune for a class dirt that's got me top 10 on the first dirt sprint race (non-circuit) available in the rivals list, can keep up with the lancer MR4s. It's under creator Assault Buick and it's called "Top 10 Rivals V2" and I just uploaded it this morning.

A fairly universal rule of almost any game is that "meta" is just a way to describe what even a dumbass can do well while using. Yes, a truly good driver in a meta car will gap the hell out of you, but as we all know, most of the time it's just a rammer with a DL'ed tune who can't be bothered to improve.

Never in my X amount of years playing Forza Horizon have I seen not only a "brand new" Subaru, but a damn good one to drive.
if i remember correctly the 2008 WRX was very solid in FH2 for A class

Actually apropos, since Rowan Atkinson, the actor that plays Bean, is an avid amateur race car driver himself.
A car that really surprised me, is the Aston Martin Valhalla. It's super fast once upgraded but its handling is superb even at high speeds. It also sports good braking and pretty decent acceleration.

Imo, the Mosler is 10x better, but that's just me, as I tend to prefer RWD cars all the time for road racing and street races
I dunno why but A and S1 are probably the most fun you can have with online races in this game. S2 feels really hard to control. B class is alright tho, got some underrepresented gems down there
Easily agree. S2 brings out the crazies in people. I love some D class too. Sure it's slow, but you have to drive perfectly to carry the speed. Versus S2 where you can ram, slam and repeat because the cars are so fast.
Wow, that thing is so planted. It drives like it's on rails. Medium to high speed corners are particularly impressive; it just doesn't deviate from the racing line.

Thanks for this, just grabbed it, ran a A-Class road race event and got the entire championship dub! The gauntlet race, only one other player was able to reach the finish before DNF

This tune is fantastic. As an Automatic Driver I have the problem that my car's stay in to high of a gear. Not with this car. I also run ABS and Traction control, yet can slide it easily around a corner when needed. All that is the tune. So thank you for it.
The A class road tune is great. It manages to understeer and oversteer on fast sweeping corner, and this tune understeer like hell, basically just understeering the car into a corner.

Tried out your Widebody Road 1.2 setup out on a Colossus race against drivatars,
it's steady, nice and calm to drive, the car has a smidge of oversteer but that is perfect, just apply a little tap brake in the middle of the corner and the front locks in while the rear slides a little bit but keeps the momentum. An absolute yoy car to run in, great 2nd-5th gear range, 1st is a little short and the 6th gear little bit tall, but that's minor stuff, i was primarily in 3rd-5th gear anyways.

Love the tune on this thing more so the dirt tune then the street tune but both are lovely. (Small recommendation a showcase of the diesal swap on some unorthodox vehicles? Svt cobra, corvette etc)

Immediately after just driving it around stock I figured it'd be good. I made an A class dirt, haven't done a road tune yet. It's also a subi so that makes me happy. I wish I could make it to S1 with stock engine or the other rally engine.

That's because you don't RACE against me yet... I eat exige's, Boneshakers and rx7's... You need to know how to RACE and try to use a car with no 4x4... You have Honda's, the S2000, Integra, CRX, you have BMW M2, 2002ti... Don't need OP Cars, just know how to Tune your car and how to use It, that's It.

you should try the srt10 acr with max caster in s1, i highly recommend it. i dont know how competitive it is, but it is very enjoyable to drive.

It’s a shame the stock wing isn’t tunable, mudflaps are counted as a bumper, and the hoods can’t be use with the widebody

Hey Grandma, have you tried the caterham as an Offroad S1 tune? If not you should, that thing slaps. Be warned though, rivers are your worst enemy in that car. Apart from that, it's an easy win literally every single race. I don't see anyone else besides me though using it. Give it a try.

In real life a STI S209 is a $65k+ which is asinine for a Subaru. Still being a big fan of the WRX STI it is a great thing to see the car being such a gem in this outgoing iteration.
