Fantastic! I'm always learning something new, but I feel like I'm doing much better this year than I did in my first year as a gardener so I'm happy! I'm motivated to keep going with it. Congrats on your second year too!

What time of year do you pot and then plant?

These were potted in the Spring season so before it got hot. I have some still in pots that are doing really well outside in our CA weather, but the are shaded.

How often are you watering these Hostas?

I have only been watering them when the soil appears to be drying, been keeping the soil moist. They are doing very well in the pots and in a shady spot near the house. I'm finding that they are enjoying the pots so I think I will transfer them into larger pots since they are not the extra large hostas. I did put one out in my garden and it has finally adjusted under the large tree and I keep the soil moist there too.

@@SelenaThinkingOutLoud thank you for your reply. I have 10 bare roots that I just planted in pots. Don't want to kill them before I even get them in the ground. Thanks again for the info and video!

@@HWoodCreations You’re welcome. They are very low maintenance so you should be okay as long as you keep the soil moist and in a nice shady area with partial sun. Good luck!
