And at the age of 23 is a labor in the union and a heavy equipment driller. Has bought his own house and big truck and race car etc you get the picture as you say! We just bought a small mini excavator from a friend who is a contractor a year ago. The mini is handy on the farm for ripping out fence rows, cleaning up areas around the buildings and digging up broken irrigation lines, plus it’s a tax deduction for the business.

Can’t wait to see the excavation around your creek area! We have a small ‘tributary’ that runs along our back property line on 2.5 acres - with a few beautiful Tulip Poplars and big Pines - but with some invasive vines and privet underbrush that desperately needs to be cleared out! It’s a daunting job to think of doing this all by hand - so I’m sure we’ll get tons of inspiration & instruction from watching your videos as you work on that area! As always, thank you for sharing all of your projects - and giving us a chance to learn from your expertise!
The excavator is going to make the thinning of that riparian area so much easier! Instead of a bunch of crowded and scraggly trees, the ones that remain will be able to flourish and reach their potential. 💚

I’m so glad you were able to get the equipment you need for the business. But please be very careful! My 43 year old son turned an excavator about that size over in a raven on their farm this summer. He had to climb out the door that was then on the top. He only got 3 cracked vertebrae out of the accident, it could have been so much worse! Praying for safety🙏🏼
