That ic is an oscillator that delivers 1.8v to the antenna (gnss, lna + receiver) & bb, sameproblem had with one !!! Follow to your page right the way bro keep the good work !!!!

It's a wonder that these ic components with underfill work in the first place. The underfill appears to be covering each pad. That is quite a challenge to scrape it off from so many tiny pads. Excellent work!!

Great video! I face the same problem. So the problem is baseband chip soldering issue?

In this case I'm not entirely sure if the baseband chip reball fixed it as the signal only came back after I put back that 4 pin IC on the back of the board. But given the state of the board reballing the IC wasn't a bad idea.

I got the same problem with iPhone 8 intel version I reball baseband and the NFC IC there’s no short damn I don’t see missing components what can be the problem?

i didn’t see the missing component until i looked at a different board. if it’s missing you won’t have network.
