As for 3ds Max 2014 and after, it's not possible anymore to create a constraint loop. They made it so that you can't select a target (for a constraint) that either already has a constraint toward the source or is the children of an object with a constraint toward the source.
Could you please also show how to do it with 4 cylinders. I have been struggeling with that. I managed to get it working but the equal distribution of the movement over the four cylinders got me stuck.
Too bad there isn't any sound. More people will learn from this video if there was sound, telling them what needs to be done. Showing them is most likely not enough, especially for beginners.

If someone is far enough along in 3ds max that they don't need sound then they don't need this video. At the least text could be used.
