The Run, for example, have Extreme difficulty, although it was initially locked. Same race, different experience. This video series reveals how the replayability can be expanded even further: different Tier level of cars. It does not have to be necessarily "different experience for the entire campaign" thing. Add a bit of variation in the middle can sometimes do the trick. For example: GTAV's option to have multiple methods for a heist.

@@TwinShards keep in mind this is a mod, so im 99% sure the modders didn't tune the physics to work on tier 6 for earlier part of the stages since the original only has very fast cars until at least stage 9
@@TwinShards That's because the map was modelled after a Tier 4 car, which could only reach 300/330 KM/h at best, so only mild jumping was expected. However the game is modded with Tier 6 cars on all maps on career, which can reach much higher top speeds.
Unpopular but honest opinion... Its stuff like this that makes me favor older, non-Underground styled NFS titles. Excluding The Run, HP 2010 and Rivals, there haven't really been any titles that cater towards players who enjoy the "thrill of the chase/race" game play since Most Wanted 2005. We've been getting titles that mostly draw in those who generally prioritize the depth of customization over actual game-play (which isn't my forte but to each their own). For that reason The Run is definitely an under rated game that hits some nostalgic marks, especially for those who grew up on the first 6 versions of NFS. The days of just pick a game mode, pick a car, and send it. If you see yourself failing often in the game then you'd get an old fashion dose of "get good" to finally win. I miss those days... Looking forward to the rest of your content for this play through.

Interesting choice with that Bugatti. I remember doing one complete run with it years ago and I struggled quite a lot with it in Stage 10 and even in this stage and the following one due to its handling in vanilla The Run hehehe. It was fun nonetheless, I liked the challenge of driving it :) (On another note, I wonder what are the ids for the traffic Cayennes with the Police livery that appear at Million Dollar Highway (8:41). I was only able to recreate them using the livery ID in stock Cayennes, as I couldn't find them in the memory, just strings possibly refering to them. Maybe the game does this as well, but I can't verify that, it is beyond my hacking skills haha).
@@IsuckAtDriving Thank you :), I managed to find and drive every vehicle in the game except for that specific Cayenne. I stopped searching for it some months ago, but after seeing that Porsche again in this stage it aroused my curiosity again :D
That Cayenne is actually a drivable cop version referenced by the Object ID [8E 8E DB 0E | 249269902] having the db string as [TRF_POR_CAY_08_COP] although this is a tricky one. As you can see in this image: imgur.com/a/C4Uo72J this customized model is one of the 3 variations setup specifically for this vehicle. It even has a custom performance setting applied. This type of customization is seen a lot when it comes to "AI actors" that are supposed to make an appearance in each level chapter ;)

I remember using the "8E 8E DB 0E" ID to load the "HD Model" of the Police Cayenne with all the police stuff, but I became stuck as I didn't know how to find that low poly Cayenne used in Million Dollar Highway. I've never played the run, in fact stopped NFS in 2011 or so. But this game gives me huge vibes as it would be the child of mostwanted and carbon :) looking enjoyable
I'm glad PC can make this game 60fps. The consoles deserve that 60fps update. Bring the game onto newer consoles with nothing changed except for a higher frame rate. The game is perfect, just needs a little help with stability

What do you mean there are road barriors? There is even free roam mod for that but the reason why is like that by default because most parts of the map are not solid and unfinished roads. So that is the reason why this game doesn't have free roam unless if you use glitches or mods.
