I bought a VHS tape of the director cut of the film with extra minutes and it explains why his secretary was so faithful to him was that he saved her life from the Nazis40 years earlier.
Excellent work sir! I actually learned something! I thought I knew everything there was to know about this movie! One fun fact I would like to add is (and maybe you mentioned this and I didn't hear it) Kurt Russell was almost Connor McLeod but he passed on it to do Big Trouble In Little China. Which is great for two reasons: 1. I couldn't see Kurt Russell playing a Scotsman. He's too American. That's not a knock! I'm American! But like you said Chris Lambert's lack of English worked so well because he sounds like he has a bunch of different accents. "You talk funny Nash. Where ya from?" "Lots of different places!". 2. Because Kurt Russell passed on this we got TWO 80s cult classics! Have you ever read the original screenplay by Gregory Widen? It's radically different from what we know about Highlander. Connor had many children throughout the centuries and there was no Quickening nor a "Prize". That's only a few differences.
Hi Mike , yeah I did know about Kurt Russell , I'm surprised I didn't mention it , but thank god he did big trouble , imagine a world where these roles are switched lol. I love big trouble in little china , I actually have a review written for this movie , it's in the house somewhere , I just never got round to it , I may have to find it . Yeah widens screen play was really dark and more tragic. Tha KS again for the support and leaving a comment I appreciate it 👍
I love Highlander and will always love it but ....in that decade it does not fit in best category. Terminator destroys it, Conan Barbarian destroys it, Bladerunner destroys it, Aliens that came out the same year destroys it.

Didn’t know there was a directors cut but that’s the version I saw first.
