    I feel that the CPA exam is too broad and covers too much material which is why so many people end up not being able to pass it and give up on the whole thing. I think that a CPA license shouldn't even be necessary to do these jobs if you want to specialize in tax you should be able to be successful and work in an accounting firm as an enrolled agent. If you want to be an auditor there should be a specialized certification and exam which covers all the material needed to be an auditor. Make people get certifications and the knowledge they need to do their specific job.

    Lobbying has ruined America with its selfish toxicity and putting average Americans last. We don't need more political divide in an already complicated system.
    I'm studying for the CPA exam and I wish they would just make it easier so we can have more accountants.

      I passed it about 15 years ago and starting salary in 2008 was 48k. Fucking joke! Fifteen years later, I own a practice and make $400k, and it’s been super difficult. Lot of ticket fixers make that without 80 hour busy seasons.
