But this is the extreme side effect of that: every American talking on all fronts without anyone listening. Non-Americans know how to listen first before speaking.

I'm so glad almost all the comments on here support Kevin Hart. Rob Schneider talked about this on the news and how people are now scared to be comedians. You have to be able to poke fun at people and joke to be a comedian. And now everything is blown up and so many comedians are having their careers destroyed. And you have to be so politcally correct, or you can loose your entire career and be blacklisted. Even in this case from stuff that's 10 years old. Our country is getting close to the point of censorship and that's super scary. Rob said freedom of speech means freedom of speech not just speech that you like.

To know that there's people who spend all their time scrolling back 10 years of tweets just to try and get attention brought to themselves by bringing up those meaninglessness tweets again is just completely sad. And the fact that so many acknowledged it when these people do that is just so wrong. I mean these people took away one of this man's dreams and brought a whole lot of negativity to his name just for a few days of attention. Honestly people like that should be fined for harrassment because thats what it is.

Actually, pretty much since those tweets came out, people have been asking him to address them - in junkets, press conferences, etc. and he never directly has, or has been dismissive. So it didn't come out of the blue to a lot of people but was moreso that after 10 years, he finally had to address them because now they had more traction in the media after the hosting decision.

I thought the goal was someone like Kevin Hart who made ignorant comments and had ignorant beliefs but now ten years later has changed and is a more opened minded person. Sometimes we are so focused on being hurt and angry we are blinded by the progress society has made in the last 10 years. It’s thanks to people like Ellen that people are different today just like Kevin Hart. You do a disservice to the LGBT community by not forgiving the mistakes of the past and not allowing love to be spread in the future.

It’s not cute. He acted like everyone was taking immature humor out of the context as him growing up and doing better. Now he’s basically throwing a tantrum that he’s not getting a pass. And let's not forget about how he cheated on his first wife with a younger woman and basically excused it as "we were young and we both deserved better, I would never cheat on my beautiful, loving wife today" as he was cheating on her with another younger woman.
