In addition to the ongoing damage to farmers large to family size. Dude! Before you take a stand on something, do your research. PS: some hunters in the Southern states have turned the hog problem into commercial meat business. He said he got 50 cents/lb. (didn't say whole or cleaned) But so many farmers just shoot them and drag them off onto the woods to rot. I think as the recession and deflation cycle deepens, the wild hogs will provide a good wage for the unemployed. A hunter could easily harvest 1000lb/day using trap-hog-pens like those seen on UA-cam videos. Just a note. Wild hog meat is organic, a plus for the health conscious. Pork, we buy at our grocery stores are 100% GMO corn fed and restrained to a 4x6 pen to stop movement. This produces more hog meat per pound of corn. But this practice is not healthy for the pig. So, this wild hog meat could be a good thing once the public officials OK it for commercial meat. When I lived in Idaho, there wasn't much of a feral hog problem if there was one at all, but there were millions of rock chucks (Marmots) everywhere. In the Spring when the farmers wheat shoots would star poking up from the ground, these rock chucks would eat them right to the ground. This, of course, ruins a crop of wheat. So, farmers love it when people show up at their door and ask if they can go take care of a few rock chucks for them. Ditto for ranchers whose land is infested with ground squirrels. They dig holes that their horses and cattle step in, breaking a leg, which means having to put down the animal. Or in one case I saw , a rancher had his irrigation lines completely clogged with drowned squirrels. It's the same here. If these hogs weren't hunted, then they would absolutely over run everything. In either case, poisoning them is not allowed as birds of prey eat them and they could get poisoned as well. The only other alternative really is to shoot them.
@ChrisIrwin They are cute for sure. Their little chirp gives them away though. I fire a 110 grain hollow point out of a .270 which sure does a number on them. The velocity is the same as a .223. Over 3000 feet per second...
The beginning of the video gives a really good perspective on how destructive hogs are to farmland. This explains the extreme measure that needs to be taken.
When it comes to animals, I'm extremely soft-hearted, and I'm not a hunter, but I can imagine how much this farmer is losing with this hog "problem". A true understatement if I ever heard one. There's so many that they're running over them with the truck, but what's impresive as hell is as they're rolling through this bumpy-ass field, a couple of these guys are getting quite a few head shots, even after a poorly placed intial shot. Seems like they're doing it very humanely, or as much as possible. Damn, that's a lot of hogs.
i like this comment as an animal lover myself i see the problem with the hogs there is to many of them in not a hunter but i do know they are destroying everything and even native plants and animals they need there numbers lowerd and this is sadly the only way to do it
The feral hogs are incredibly nasty. They destroy anything in their way and their tusk tooth is very sharp. They won't hesitate to attack anyone that catches them off guard. They have no natural predator and so they multiply. The state should be handling this but they are too cheap and lazy.
The number of hogs that took a spine hit and continued running at 20+mph with just front legs is insane, just goes to show those things are unbelievably tough. Props to you guys for dealing with them in such an efficient manner. I mean the gau was a tad overboard😂, but i love it and want to see more.
In Minnesota, we don't have any known boars here. I am not a hunter, and would take no pleasure in hunting, but I could see myself doing this for the environment. This is not hunting, but pest control. Thank you for your work.

If the truth is that wild pigs are quite a serious pest in some areas but I think it would have been better from my point of view to use hunting weapons, not the heavy arsenal, meat is meat
Your not a farmer but you eat the food the farmers harvest for you, if their crops and livestock die then you starve. It doesn’t have anything to do with how the farmers feel, they’re just trying to keep food on our tables and when there’s a feral disease ridden hog epidemic this is part of the job, these things reproduce like crazy 1 day there’s 10, the next week there will be 1000 and destroy everything and kill other animals
For any people thinking he is overshooting when he fires 4-5 times into a hog, hogs are some tufff bastards that can take a lot of shit so sometimes you have to hit ‘em a little more then usual
And on top of that it's better to overshoot anyways. No need to let the animals suffer more than they need to, make sure they're dead by putting a few extra rounds in them.
That's an insane amount of hogs and the damage to the crops is crazy. They aren't up in the north-east yet, but with the super pigs that are in Manitoba now, that have adapted to harsh winters by tunnelling into the snow banks, wild hogs are going to be the biggest threat to food production in the western states/provinces. The only other animals in that part of Texas that come close to the feral hog population are skunks and turkeys.

Farmers will be able to add wild hog meat to sell and get back some of the damages the pig did to his crops.
I feel your pain. Got hog problems on my own ranch. You know what helped a lot though? My Matrice 30T. A drone with thermal imaging.
Yeah it's a bit much but man do those rock chucks explode. The .270 is a great round. It's nothing more than necked down .30-'06. but a flat shooting round if there ever was one. The velocity is the same as a .223. Over 3000 feet per second...

environmental considerations? There's more lead in that dirt than Detroit tap water lol
That is a criminal infestation. Glad you guys could help him out.
Hey Amigo, we dont want your kind in our town😅 sounds like an Eastwood movie, love it.
4:26 was the only time I felt slightly bad and it’s because of those baby pigs
Edit: You guys should’ve saved some of that mini gun ammo for those huge groups of them
There is nothing cute about baby hogs fuck all hogs equally if it were up to me I'd mass genocide those bitches to extinction cause those "CUTE BABYS" are just gonna turn into the exact same thing the adults are PESTS even tho the baby's already are pests I dispatch hogs in the most un humane way I can think of because it makes me feel good about myself I fuckin hate them with a passion
EQUAL FOR ALL
AGE IS JUST NUMBER
Ofc Im joking
Well it's better than living with nightmares and wandering alone because his group and parent get massacred
Sorry if my English bad
LMFAO you cunny funt!
Why feel bad? They're all pests.
The edit
I agree, just give them D-Day or some fast rate of fire ambush
Far more humane than poison or traps. You deserve respect for putting in the extra time and money for this method. The rifle is much more efficient than the mini-gun. The mini-gun is what attracts views.
I'd have saved the mini gun for large groups, just stand back and shoot, two would have been better start at either end.
Well said.
Agreed. He burned through way too many rounds with minimal hit rates versus the efficiency of a rifle.
On another note, I’m amazed at the massive number of hogs in those fields.
Rifles are a more fun weapon if you have the skill
حتی یک گراز را هم زنده نگذارید ، حتی یک گراز را ، خداوند حامی شما است .❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Never lived a day in my life as a farmer and even I can understand what needs to be done when it comes to pests. I just didn't know you could have fun doing it like this.
Hahaha, right? Like they are taking care of those Hogs while having fun, like sign me up🤣
And yea, we all gotta understand that this has to be done, it’s either that or loosing money every year. It’s just everyone is so Godam sensitive. Like “Omg the pure rage and saddism
Man i wanna do this, it felt for a scond like when yorue in COD zombies, killing everything for fun!
It's not fun. Is killing a roach fun? No, it's necessary.
@@robertsalinas7444 um it’s not fun killing a roach tho….. using guns is fun
The size of the animals and the numbers is astounding.
Very fertile places, part of the USA.
Keep in mind, they replace natural habitats of those pigs.
With lead
@@heyhoe168 so u can eat well
@@heyhoe168 about that😅.... The wild hog species are invasive species that eat just about everything including small plants that maybe are nearly extinct. These guys are like the goldfish of the land. If you let one of these guys into land these guys will eat everything. Letting these guys live is basically lettIng them destroy an entire ecosystem. It's like goldfish in a lake. You'll basically see them eat everything including algea that the native species of said fresh water lake starve destroying the habitats of countless fish. Fun fact: feral swines or wild hogs are brought to america by Europeans as a food source. If you say this isn't true the search feral swines or wild hogs. This isn't their natural habitat. In fact they are invasive species of that habitat filled with non invasive natural fauna.
@@hohoho2926 Partially yes. But we are throwing away a lot of food and doing very questionable fuel ethanol. So ppl got a little too greedy on farmland expansion.
It would be dope to have the military do this for range qual. Looks fun and actually helps people out.
Until it’s your turn to clean up the field 😂
Australia tried the military on a similar eradication of Emus.
They were overrun by the sheer numbers of them! Us too if we don't start now.
They don't clean them up... they plow most of them in as fertilizer to help restore what the pigs did.

New Zealand sends troops out deer hunting with their service rifles as training.
I think using the USMC... ( And as how Texas and Arkansas are KNOWN to be "Recutting States" For the USMC.) and as for using the local boys to get N/C shooting practice... I would like to see how many could get in a 48 hr. period of time. And, see if they could refrain from using explosives... or, maybe not.@@dhm7815
People metal detecting in this field 200 years from now are gonna think there was a great battle here 💀
Some of these guys have become incredibly good shots to get the hits they do from a moving truck on a rough surface, rock on.
I remember you guys in my prayers each morning. That your aim would be as clear as Brandon’s ineptitude. That your ammo would multiply like the loaves and fish. That the blood of the boars would flow like wine. Amen.
I love this 😂
Love it
I completely concur with this message 👍
🤣👍
Tony, I like the way you think!
I see no extreme measures here. I see a reasonable man using reasonable means to deal with an unreasonable problem
I'd say it's all within reason. lol
Well in Aus we consider this extreme but shit there are a lot of hogs.
PS Too many got away LOL
PPS FOR THE offended - hogs are baby hedgehogs so suck it
Very well stated!
The mini gun is kind of silly. It's an efficiency thing really. That was $1000s of dollars in ammo and the rifles probably more 3ffective.
he inst going to stop them
Парни с полем вас . Великолепная работа .
Yep the kind of damage these wild Hogs do to a farm is amazing so I don't blame you at all taking extreme measures to get rid of them !
God Bless
Female feral hogs can reach sexual maturity as young as 3-4 months of age.
Female wild/feral hogs are polyestrous, being able to come into estrus every 18-24 days if they are not successfully bred. The ovulation rate typically averages 7-8 shed ova but can range from 3-15. The gestation period averages 112-120 days and can vary from 100-140 days. Fetal litters in feral hogs average 5-6 but can be as many as 14.And can have 1.5 litters per year.
"oh, this isn't hunting! This is inhumane!"
These fuckers regenerate in days and by then they've multiplied even more
