You should build a apocalypse rig like a wrecked Corvette swapped to a truck frame lifted or something aling that line or duramax swap corvette would be killer

@JustMan$hit yeah they are still in great shape. They wear equal or a little better than the oem ones.
@@TopLineRacer that's good to know I just had to order a new driver side cover. I went with oem cushion due to them being a bit more comfortable due to density
I used to do upholstery work. The right tool is a steamer, but I'm guessing it's not one you have if you don't do that kind of work. Set them out in the sun for a few days. They'll tighten up.

All you really needed for cutting the hole for the electric seat controls was 3000 PSI pressure washer. Works like a dream! LOL

Seats look good and I have a couple of years working on those. I can see difference of the new foam. Just having the backing material on the bottom will make a huge difference, frame won't cut through as quickly.

If you haven't replaced the dash yet, here is an idea for you. If you find a good dash and the paint on it is peeling, just get a couple cans of the Rustoleum spray on bed liner. It works really good and its not that rough at all. It's in a spray paint can. I done it to ann old gmc that I had and it looked really good.

@TopLineRacer -- Excellent video. Just did this upgrade, but only rebuilt the drivers seat bc of the high usage wear. It's like a new truck and completely worth the effort! Do you happen to know the part number of the harness that comes from under the carpet? That's my next hurdle. I plan on installing it when I get the carpet in.

Seats look soooo good
Put some wet towels in the microwave and get them hot, wring out excess water with protective gloves and drape them over the leather. It will help the seat covers form to the foam.

Gonna have to look into those seats. Does it say anything about using heat or maybe steam to help during the install? Is there enough room to cut an x pattern where panels (power seat, headrest, etc) rather than remove material? Definitely gets that restored/modified look the truck had before!
Definitely check them out! Yes, you can use steam to remove any wrinkles, honestly after just a few hours mine were basically all gone. It's better to just cut out whatever you need and that part is way easier than I thought it would be.

The new leather will tighten up if you lay it out in the 🌞 the ripples will flatten out too

I've done a lot of interiors. Those wrinkles will come out in a few days once the sun gets to them.
This comment might help you in the future and y’all might not see it but when your doing seats sometime it helps to slap them while pulling them it gets them to go together a little nicer with less wrinkles no hate with what you did because they look great

When this truck is done ill trade you a 2011 silverado z71 extended cab. 6.2 swap lifted 4 in rear 5 front. Spotless interior cowl hood 110k on truck 40k on engine. Hp tuners, headers,intake. 6l80 trans new tires and has been repainted with so stripes and pearl laid over factory blue slate color. I forgot the actual name. Aftermarket lighting and many many more mods.

No joke ...I made someone do what happened to ur brother in his own truck and it wasnt water filled glovebox!!!...85 Toyota 4x4 with a stoker motor. Big mistake...I got one just like it....and he said drive it like u stole it....one tooth on the pinion gear and 6 on the ring...front shaft was in his garage. So we drove it home limping it. From a 35 minute drive that took 2 hrs. And our cheeks were smaking our eye lids.
