I hope you're not planning on sending OPAZ more gear 😵💫, I just bought one of these today based entirely on this infectious and mesmerising review. Well done OPAZ and thanks for sharing
We have one for our rental company along other HK cabinets. Brilliant little system 😀It’s by far the most preferred of the pack. We love it so much we’ve ordered another Move 8 unit.
Excellent review mate, I use this for Busking...only a Guitar and Mic and off you go ... you need nothing more. App is Excellent and the effects too.... play 7 hours not problem at 70% volume. My opinion... still the best battery mini PA out there. Cheers bud, and again, loved you review. 😉👌🏼
Fantastic review, I also think this is the type of a comment most possible buyers want to hear. I got myself one about a year ago, best buy ever. Will NEVER make a change.
What about EV 8 and Bose s1 pro? which one would you recommend please. I need pair of a Battery speakers for DJ live recording (outdoor) and 20-30 people around. but not sure which would be the best option for a portable system
I bought a everse 8. Im a musician, guitar player, singer & backing tracks. The sound is great the effects too. The 2 channels aren't great tho. I still need my mixer to boost the signal. Other than that it's a great speaker. But I'm thinking of returning it and trying this one out. I'm within the 30 days return date but it may have got a bit scratched and worn. I agree with it being a bit over priced (paid almost 800 for it)
We purchased our 1st Premium PR:O Move 8 when the 1st patch was rolled out. Then some 8 months later a 2nd unit. Although the 2 units look identical, the 2nd one can send Aux out even when the Master volume is turned off, but the 1st one cannot. That way you can use it as a Bluetooth receiver hooked to a bigger PA rig. Could it be that it needs a firmware update? If so, how do I go about it? Thanks🙏🏿
Nice review and this little unit is great but at 60W perhaps the new 400W Everse 8 has surpassed it on paper and projection/angle options and power out options usb and 12v out for a wireless mic receiver, but this HK has more channels and has lots of manual control. As a singer/guitarist the angle of the speaker is too steep to be used as a floor monitor so even in the HK publicity ads the speaker is placed on a table 2 metres away with the musicians sitting down, that's not possible at a gig the speaker would be in the middle of the dancefloor. If only this speaker was flatter like a real monitor it would be more practical. Nice review
No idea if it's louder. Just like the jbl having tool free battery removal, the behringer being incredible value for money, the Denon being stereo, This speaker could even have "average" sound and only be 9 watts. . .. The battery operation is pure simple Genius 👌🏼
Have you plugged in a dj controller or mixer to channels 1 or 2? I have two of these and these are mic inputs they distort the sound from a line out put device maybe im missing something
I have been using it for talent contests, singing and instruments. The only music I have played through it is from my smartphone or Mac through bluetooth. I will check this out and let you know Maybe the lack of mic/line adjustment suggests this is more of a "wired" musicians/singer or "wireless" music (bluetooth) playback pa Will update you
@@opaz. thx for the reply. I used mostly for wedding ceremonies and cocktails at first using mics Bluetooth and aux in. Only recently tried xlr in from a dj controller. In order to get acceptable sound I need to turn speaker way up and source signal way down. Hk audio insists an xlr to 1/4 inch solves this but frankly there are wrong. I bought some line level attenuation adapters and I’ll see how they work when they arrive. Would be awesome if you could circle back w your findings. Other than this issue these are best battery speaker hands down I’ve used everything there is
by the way I double checked this myself and if you do wish to plug a DJ mixer or controller (or any line signal) into the combo jacks you will need an attenuator - they make many - I find 50db of attenuation to work well. Tested this last night and I am glad to at least have found a solution - still love the speaker even thought the manufacturer dropped the ball bigtime here.
@@opaz. i got BETTER results with 1/4 into the combo jack than I did with the xlr, but still not clean sound the way it is supposed to sound. The rca to aux works, yes - but the combo jacks should be able to take that xlr in with no issue. The attenuator fixes it as it is designed to convert a line signal to a mic level signal.
Sennheiser had a battery powered speaker with two batteries. It’s discontinued now but I’m searching for one. You can hook multiple together wirelessly. Sennheiser Lsp 500 pro.
@@opaz. yeah has the same type of system. You can take one battery out and charge it and also switches seamlessly. I like the fact that you can add a wireless transmitter/receiver in each box and hook up to 10 speakers I believe. One speaker would be the master with mics and music then it sends it to the others. Still looking for one or someone who makes something similar. The Lsp 500 pro was way ahead of its time. And I would love to own one.
This is your best review ever, you had me in tears hahaha I’ve never heard anybody so passionate talking about a small speaker hahaha I loved it. Well done sir. Quick tip though, please drop those first 50sec on all your videos… “if you like it please subscribe” I think by now everybody on earth knows this ;)
UA-cam have just stated that most of my viewers are new viewers and not reocurring ones (I'm not good enough to hit that bell 😆). New viewers won't know what my content is so . .. . think the 50 secs is here to stay. .. for now
Are you located in the UK? It’s not easy to find HK Audio gear here in the US, but after your review I really do want to buy a pair of these speakers. HK should pay you for this review :)
Great review but I second that, make it a fast intro 5 sec better than 50, you want your regular viewers coming back, check the dropoff data between 0-50secs. Great stuff though
@@opaz. I'm looking for something to connect sax microphone and bases, to be used outdoors for aperitifs, without the need to bring a mixer, and have an effect to add to mic. I also saw LD system mix 10 g3 that doesn't look bad, I would need the one with higher volumes
Therefore you will need to demo which suits you best. Unfortunately i have never listened to the 10g3 I have only just this moment found out what it is
This video is top friend, my dear I seek your sincere wisdom to decide between makie or hk I seek sound quality and power that you recommend dear friend
Haven't compared the two for power, making money from them at weddings at the moment. As I state in the upload, all are great quality. When I get a break from these weddings, I'll test more
I have ordered many speakers and only a few have arrived. Many items are just being put back in order every time the expected stock date nears. This is a global problem. Some brand items are just not being made as the price of materials have gone through the roof. There is also a shortage of components in manufacturing everywhere. I still have db tech speakers on order from 2021. Things are just not happening
I ordered two RCF TTL 6A's a month ago and I was told that they are not manufacturing high ticket items unless they receive a large order (not too sure how genuine that is) but that is what i was told. My new NXL24's took ages to arrive, I nearly cancelled the order
But it needs 2 batteries to last 12 hours as opposed the others last 12 with one batterie. The charger idea is good but the main idea in having battery speaker is to be where there ia none. None the less cool featture.
2 channels vs 4 Multi effects & reverb vs None Wood cabinet vs Plastic 😆 All of the above without even mentioning the sound! I know the HK is more expensive but it's the winner for me Lack of reverb on the Thump Go and limited EQ are its real main downfalls
Thank you so much OPAZ for this awesome product comparison! 😊"The music never stops" 😊
My pleasure!
I’m sold going to get one now

Can you review the HK audio polar 12s if possible?
When I've finished all these weddings, I just might be able to do that for you
We'll see!
How does this compare with the Yorkville EXM Mobile 8?
No idea

Come from xlr on a controller and into send on HK with ¼" jack - or rca from a controller and into 3.5mm Aux on HK
Tried both yesterday

I’m just trying to figure out if the move 8 is the loudest battery power speaker.
if you want loud get the soundboks Gen3
@@opaz. thanks for that info. I was considering getting one and using it with my Everse for when I need more
