"It's not your fault". One to the most poignant lines from the film, Good Will Hunting, 1997. The character of the college psychologist, played brilliantly by Robin Williams, says this to the angry, brilliant, impoverished, custodian and mathematician, played so fabulously by Matt Damon. Thanks to Tara for bringing this Buddhist teaching forward as a place for deep healing which is what was being attempted between the characters in that wonderful, emotionally, rich, film.
I vary rarely comment on people’s posts but my goodness I needed to hear that right now. I haven’t been feeling like that at all recently. Thank you 🙏 💜
Thank so much for helping me, today and last night when I got to meet this support group.... I know we can get through this together, thank you so much for Ms. Tara!!! I love the wonderful teachers you've mentioned, Buddhists and Tribal Tooth ritual... I love learning these tools!!! God bless you all
I just love your videos 😍. As I learn about myself, for myself, I plan how I'm going to pass this on to newcomers to sobriety. You've helped me immeasurably, and through me, others... even if it's only because I can be fully, authentically there for them. Namaste.💖🙏🏼🌻🌈💝🙏🏼
Somehow, the glow of people's eyes when alive as living masters and for ascended masters how they die, I find important when allowing a teaching to enter within me. Your glow I have always found remarkable and I love to join you in meditation. Only today I discoveres your age. Wow. You are truly an inspiration, I hope to grow in Compassion, Wisdom, Peace... like you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Tara..for this timely message of BElonging..exactly what I am feeling both the need for..and the feeling OF belonging Now..more than ever..after hearing you speak.
Thank you. I have been following different renown Buddhist and spiritual writers and there was this constant suggestions to love ‘your enemies, or people you dislike...’ and little solidarity with people affected by dictators. Is like they don’t want to talk about politics, xenophobia, LGBT discrimination, women rights... all these topics are the cause of suffering and if politics laws were equal for everyone perhaps we wouldn’t need so much psychotherapists and spiritual leaders, self help books, etc. I might be wrong, but it looks like Tara Brach recently ( this year?) is talking more frequently about social discrimination, suffering coming from the society. And With this new approach of her, I think thousands of her followers are feeling heard, supported and protected. Because, if famous people like Tara B were openly and constantly talking about social political economical injustice and how can affect our souls ( is not only our parents, or bullying at school, or personal illness... ) there were be more healing in the world.
Thank you so much. 🙏 This was very helpful. I want to ask you about having and setting an aspiration in your meditation practice. A friend of mine and I have been talking about this and have been looking for some good aspirations or aspirational chants or Buddhist writings that delve more deeply into creating and setting aspirations. I feel a little stuck these days in this regard. Thank you.
Can you share how Tara's teachings have helped you be less identified with the label of a "right wing trumpie" and who you are under that overidentified self?
Thank you so much for this and all that you are offering for free. It helps tremendously
