This a similar set up to what I have in my bag, I don't keep cosmetics though, but I always keep a couple of small pouches with emergency stuff in it, like sanitary supplies, medicine etc. It's really helped when I'm in a pinch.

I call the mini bag the old man bag. lucky for girls that all girls carry a handbag, Although there must be something of an old woman bag, but probably the Mini bag is spared. But sadly, i think that backpack maybe slowly encroaching the old man bag category too.
