- We took to the streets in style with a belated birthday gift from friends with Singapore Sidecars! Zipping around the city in the sidecars was SO MUCH fun. Undisturbed views of places we knew and some we didn't, stopping for facts and photos made this an unforgettable evening.
But that was just the start as our friends also had the kids for the evening so we went out for a delicious meal and then headed to a bar to enjoy some live music - the first time since we moved to Singapore! The live music was even more special for us as Jonty's cousin in law was drumming and the singer was a talented Singaporean.

If only we have Sidecar Grand Prix in Singapore. There used to be quite a number of sidecars in Singapore back in the 50s and 60s (before independence), sadly it has been less and less.

What a fun day for the two of you! And you took us along - thank you! Funan was the first Singapore Mall I went to - Such an impressive building and such great and different stores and restaurants! The spoon war - been there and done that! So glad you got some time together - couples need recharging.. makes for better parents!

Awesome! Looked like really good fun!! Loved the Vespas, though they're not as good as Lambrettas, of course (IMHO). Many years ago, I was a weekend Mod for a while and rode a Lambretta. (This was before I became a weekend hippy!) Sadly the Lambo was stolen.
A couple of questions, if I may. First, is that a Sony RX100-[some version] that Milly was holding? If so, how are you finding it? - I'm busy changing my camera strategy. And secondly, how disruptive to normal life is the Grand Prix?

The Sony camera is the Sony zv-1.
We haven't experienced the Grand Prix since living here so I'm not too sure really. I know some roads are closed during that time and I'm sure public transport and taxi's will be busier at certain times and days but it's very well managed and plenty of notice given as to plan alternative routes.
Mmmm Lau Pa Sat….will be heading there at some point soon…
A few trips needed to eat it all though 😂
