I’ve been looking forward to every other episode of Guyana blog, looks like a great time. Most Guyanese have not experienced what you guys experienced so thank you for showcasing our beautiful country. ❤️🇬🇾
You're absolutely correct, we Guyanese need to go explore our country more and by doing so we will be helping our indigenous brothers and sisters. One Guyana!
Me and my son are watching this episode here in the airport its our first vacation after the pandemic hit...my son just suddenly remembered what you said in episode 3 "doing things the fun way"... your videos motivated my son to love the outdoors...thank you!
HI Dylan, Anita, Brennen! We at Wichabai loved this episode! I'll be taking it back to show little Conrad. Thanks for capturing the spirit of the place - wild, free and beautiful...
The best day of the week is when you post something new! Damn I’m watching it at my late shift and we’re loving it.❤️ also Guyana is on my bucket list I have to go there it looks so much fun and the informations you give us are incredible 😍❤️ thanks for blessing us each Sunday with your knowledge of Guyana ❤️
Beautiful videos. That's black rum cake that's usually bake around the Christmas holidays in Guyana. Love it.wish l know how to make it .Cheers🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
It's called a fruit cake it's made with dried raisins somtimes nuts, cherries and wine can be added. I like the outdoors I'll do this one day I'm in the city
No fruit cake is different, made of the similar fruits but close to sponge cake texture .But black cake is made of infused fruits, clored (burn sugar) and drenched in rum ie. Brandy like the individual tasted
Leroy, Lion, uncle Ozzy, uncle Chris, Rasta, Chado, Erin Long live the Legends of the South! You truly ran with the best of the best🙌 I know next episode will be wild!
I went to Guyana in 2017 visiting my family that live in Port Mourant. Your episodes truly highlight all the beauty that Guyana possesses. I found a deeper love for the country and the pristine habitat that still exists in this world. Thank you for showcasing this hidden gem for all to see❤️
Am loving every bit of these episodes thank u I am a Guyanese n I never saw some of the views u showed thank u again n do come to our beautiful country more often
Black cake is so my favourite. At anytime, better than chocolate. Your experience remind me of someone in UK asking me if I would like a mince pie ( in Guyana-savoury stuff pastry) turned out to be a hot stuffed sweet pastry. I'm still traumatised. 🤣. I buy black cake in UK £40 for 1/2 cake. Very difficult to make. Love your videos and putting Guyana in a positive way. Many would like to visit so we are all living vicariously. Next time, if you're into climbing, go to where Arthur Conan Doyle inspired ' the lost world' site, Roraima mountain. BBC led team discovered 200 new species a few yrs back.
That view at the end was amazing reminded me of the film lion King I love chocolate too is the next week the last episode if it is I can't believe its finished already I really hope you do more like this again I really enjoyed getting to see a new part of the world you make it look so interesting would definitely watch this on TV channel your so good keep you the good work Dylan can't wait to see what you do next so excited x
Thanks for sharing your adventures in Guyana and for showcasing the natural beauty, culture and people of my birth country. This is the El Dorado ...🤞 I can visit soon.
I've never been so early to something 😂 definetly the best part of my sundays... That hike looks super exhausting, but to watch that beautiful sunset, I would definetly do it every day 😍
It's called "black-caake"'. Put white icing on it & it becomes traditional Guyanese wedding cake base. Each whole cake traditionally gets soaked/immersed in rum before the process proceeds .
You went through the same exact motions as I did as a kid lol; the excitement for chocolate and then the let down… it’s black cake…. it’s an acquired taste and most definitely not the most deliciously dense chocolate cake you ever saw. There’s a few other foods that might do that to ya lol and I so hope you can capture /experience them for us to see 😆.
Thats black cake.....a famous must have for any Guyanese Christmas....The area is indeed old as its part of the rocks that make up the Guiana shield formed millions of years ago.
So jealous of you eating chicken curry and roti in Guyana right now - and also because you are travelling in Rupununi somewhere I intend to travel the next time I visit my Grandparents!!! lol and that was black cake :D
Wow 4 hours of great adventures, drone shots was amazing. Enjoy watching this and makes me plan for some hiking and more trips locally and internationally. Always looking forward for your next adventure Dylan! Love it! I have a GoPro need to start using it for adventure!
U and that guy with the long hair reminds me of supernatural every time I watch your episodes😅 anways glad to see u in my country u seems to have a good time and a nice tan ! Stay 1 yr u will become as brown as me !
Like the videos... looking at this makes you realize that many Guyanese are typically not touring the country (i.e., being tourists) to this level as folks from different countries. A bit sad. Hopefully this will change in the future. Will have to visit these places when I go back. Overall, this is a positive thing. Keep the videos coming.
In Guyana, we call that black cake. It’s made pretty similarly to rum cake. It’s common to have it around the Christmas holidays.
it wasn’t bad… just not chocolate. was so ready for chocolate
@@dylanefron we have all been caught by that before lol

I'm guessing it's Guyanese black cake!
Yep... most likely. Lol.

That's black cake. It's a fruit cake made with rum. It's common around Christmas time but you can find it year round.
