I remember back in the mid to late 90's when under budgeted and misinformed UA-camrs used to go all-in on the ol' "hey, let's light this scene partly and/or completely with orange and blue!!". Those were the good old days! Anyway, thanks for the video guys!
That's incredible, awesome vid guys I hope Sony doesn't end up making one of these for the A7 IV else my bank will collapse 😂, impressive being a F2.8 as well😮
I have to admit, I agree with you. Which is why I sold my f/4, and bought this. I am mostly a landscape photographer. For portraits, I’d go with the 24-70mm.
@@cameracentretv Full disclosure. I used it for a week and returned it. The distortion was just too high. To the point that editing software could not fully get rid of. I had already sold my EF f/4 24-105, so I went with the RF f/4 24-105. It works terrific, and was half the price.
Yer they are solid lenses. personally think this one performs much better! They also don't do an R-mount version but the f2 on the Samyang and Tamron is amazing!
@@cameracentretv yes sharpness / performance is no doubt slightly better on this lens vs those. But at an insane price difference. The Samyang can be had for 1100$ right now…
I agree the price high. If I am honest I would go with the Samyang or Tamron personally as it sit more in my budget. EOS-R mount needs to be opened up accept other mounts in my opinion, this lens is amazing though! - Stewart@@SneakyCaleb
In my experience this is a lens that "does everything" only @ f/8, if lucky. Not bad for underaverage delivery, useful for that indeed. Can´t excel in any picture unless you have a top notch scene in front of you.
The lens cost more than most cameras I can buy a Sony FX three for the price of that lens. It’s totally overpriced and totally overhyped if it was around the $2000 mark that would be great but it’s over $4000 Canadian.

Gotta love orange and blue!

Thank you for video. That is an awesome lens but how does it compare to the rf 28-70mm f2 in term of image quality?
I dont know, you recon we need to do a comparison?
Tamron/Samyang starting at f2 is more impressive imo
