Yakuza OST: Pray Me (Game Version)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 тра 2016
- I just happened to notice that in the game the song had been a little bit longer than it turned out on the OST. So I decided to fix that.
The difference starts somewhere on the 2nd minute.
Enjoy that.
The song doesn't belong to me, all the copyrights for that go to SEGA and Hidenori Shoji.
P.S.: Fellow yakuza fans, a question: does the "Dream" song from Yakuza 5 even exist?
If unbridled rage had a theme song, it would be this.
Well, that or 5's Fullscale Offensive.
@@retrogamelover2012 i loveed it when ever that song would appear in 5 like when saejima breaks out
What about reign from yakuza 0

God I love when japanese game composers chop up english rap lines to the point the lyrics make no sense.
They do make sense, you just can't properly hear it
@@BlacK40k They don't make sense lol, they cut off random parts of words. At 1:09 they cut off the words "Trish, the track-attacker, weak rapper, mack a smackle, spectator, kidnapper" to just say "Trish, the track-attacker, weak rapper, mack a smackle, spectator, kid-" and then go into another line. You can hear the lyrics clearly here where it was sampled from ua-cam.com/video/UiV7Fjw89Yw/v-deo.html
@@anthonynguyen4088 Still makes sense to me
Miss the PS2 era where game soundtracks would comprise of hard rock and rap rock lol
In all seriousness, that was the best era of gaming imho. RIP my PS2 (11.2004 - 03.2012) 😭
@@diablow1411 True af 😞
this song to me radiates early to mid 2000's wrestler vibes
Theme of an angry egg
Best description of Shimano
Why is this half naked skinhead trying to beat me up.

Best description of Shimano
Japanese Lex Luthor
Lyrics
Hit rappers like bricks, get thick, when in-
A sucker's a sign, you better think back
How does it feel to be submerged in superb use of nouns
It's hard
Get your best kicked to the curb
You're just a nerd
Labelled as an outcast
Put a saddle on your back and ride that ass
Everybody and they momma know I got it going on
Up they raise like sluggers (Lyrics hug)
*Guitar solo*
(Trish, the track-attacker, weak rapper, mack a smackle, spectator, kid-
best bet is to set up superb use of nouns and verbs and get your best-
Punk, please? Who you bullshitting?)
Tysm!
Those are definitely lyrics alright
This track has a really good energy to it. I love the combination of hard rock and rap to create a catchy yet intimidating boss theme that really makes you say "oh shit it's Shimano"
Indeed. It makes you realise that you're fighting a tall, menacing man instead of an angry egg.
@@egotistikz lmao
[insert shimano dub]
"Kazuma! You won't get past me."
*vs. Futoshi Shimano*
*Futo Shimano
Shimano: Come on Kazuma!
Your fucked asshole.
its not that its longer, The Song Loops itself depending on how much health Shimano has left
Exactly! it starts to loop the part from 2:13 onwards until he's defeated. Awesome music.
Next catch. Pretty clever loop of most dramatic part of the song for the most dramatic part of the boss.
That yell in the later half of the song is SO criminal being removed from Kiwami
It took me years later to figure out what a Dynamic Soundtrack was, lol
Sonic Heroes had it too
@@Kuribohchaos8 for which song?
The first 13 seconds are incredible.
The first 13 seconds are the lamest seconds of the song
NoelKreiss XIII-2 There’s nothing better than an intro to drum up the hype.
The first 204 seconds are incredible
@@Lnblackberry48 your opinions were not needed negative vibes nah mate
I keep listening to that same part sometimes lmao. The intro is lit and the changing sequence after the intro where the beat gets lower is also sick.
*You know you love* 2:13
2:12 best part of the song in my opinion
It gives a sense that kazama is fighting for his life
Would have loved it if they used this version in Shimano’s first fight, then the Revive version for his second battle.
I think the original playing for the second fight would fit more since the first one was just a fist fight and the second one shimano clearly had intent in killing kiryu an actual fight to death the original sounds more threatening
The second battle wasn’t even supposed to have his theme it was supposed to be the Kiwami version of Receive You but they changed it for some reason.
Thumbnail should be Shimano's tiger tattoo
2:49 i'd like to imagine this is kiryu's psyche just going berserk to finish the fight and get out sooner. or just something similar to a victory scream
"despite all my rage"
Best part of any yakuza song ngl
My favorite part of the song.
0:50 the guitar solo drops hard i love it
I prefer the first half of kiwami's version to the first half of this one but that second melody is so much better here
Both of Saejima's Battle-themes are remixes of this
grasses?! guts?! Kazuma Kiryu vs. Guts from Berserk?! (no damage, no tiger drop, no equipment, Legend difficulty)?!?!
I think I prefer this one to the remake. The OG just has this palpable ferocity and grit to it that Revive lacks, and I think it fits much better with Shimano's character and moveset.
*At **2:10**, that's when the part gets awesome!*
It's like going full "aggro mode".
This goes incredibly hard
The rapping in this track is sampled from Masterbits CLIMAX 9. I noticed other SEGA games use these particular samples as well, like Sonic Rush. ua-cam.com/video/UiV7Fjw89Yw/v-deo.html
Awesome! Never knew that, thank you! Also, I do remember Y4 having some samples from DDR songs in some of the Cabaret ones. May be mistaken, though.
Wow! Nice find
@@Deathgaze97 I’m sure the ark from shadow the hedgehog uses some of the vocals
"I'll put a saddle on his back and ride that ass!" This game's OST is so "fuck you" that lines like these don't even sound as cheesy as they should, just bad ass.
It's really a shame that Kiwami's renditions of these songs is so bland.
Eh, there's still a few gems here and there. Like that game's version of Intelligence for Violence.
Just a shame they didn't program it to be used in other instances, outside of the bar fight, like in the original.
how did you even hear that
I personally don't think Kiwami's versions are that bad, but man, I really do appreciate the way they tried to make the music unique back in 2005. Kiwami doesn't seem to top it that much, but I can't not give credit for like what retrogamerlover said. That Intelligence for Violence is so good. And I have to say, that includes Flirt with Bomb.
@@vadiks20032 The voice is from a rap sample pack!
One of my favorites easily the Lau Ka long theme but most kuza 1s theme is better
Holy moly this goes hard
Can we just realise that this was the last video this guy uploaded? If you can see this, hope you're doing OK and thanks for uploading this! :D
Oh, thank you! I'm more than alright -- it's just that it's been (almost) five years already and I've forgotten to open the comment section, haha. Last time I checked, Yakuza wasn't as popular in the english-speaking regions as it is right now (which is a great thing, honestly!)
This upload was due to a momentary wish I had back in the day, thought that since there weren''t any versions of the song available I should cut one in Audacity. So, that's what I did.
Also, a huge shoutout from the cold and snowy Russia -- there are Yakuza fans there, too!
@@Deathgaze97 Ah! I'm glad to hear you're well! I only recently got into Yakuza (Started with 0 in August of 2020) and now I'm about half way through 6. I absolutely love the series and I'm glad that someone uploaded the original soundtracks from the original games! So thanks for that! :D

"So you like to fight!?" - Shimano
Difference starts at 2:12. Uploader extended that part to make it play twice.
What the game does is loop that part of the song when Shimano is at low health.
初代で一番好きな曲
vs. Futo Shimano
I always found it amusing that the second battle against him is a lot easier despite the fact that he has a Sword and has pretty much his whole Family with him. Pretty much because you've got 6(or is it 5?) members of the Fuma/Kazama family helping you and when Shimano's the only one left, they waste little time in ganging up on him.
When I played Kiwami that fight was really cool to me, both sides started with all men ready and able, eventually I ended up tiger dropping Shimano's sword so it broke, then it was just me and him with all the other guys down
@@jackmclean4120 Here's a fun little trick on the PS2 ver. Shimano's sword is an Equipable item, if you grab him, he drops it immediately like all enemies do with Equapable weapons, you can then pick it up and have some fun yourself.

i love both versions, this one's more menacing and face kicking, the other one is more badass and that second phase is just incredible
“So you like to fight huh?”
"Cmon kazama!"
0:14
The start of the chorus sounds exactly like one of those 2014 MLG soundbites of a kid screaming about a trickshot
He's such a two-timer always playing whatever angle he can
Nobody will read this but i hate Kiwami Shimano, i know Shimano is a easy boss, and obviusly, is the first boss in the game but i really felt that Kiwami Shimano is less creative than the PS2 Shimano, in PS2 Shimano special thing was the form to beat' em with objects, instead, in Yakuza Kiwami is just "I'll Block, I Dodge and I Piss you Off"
That’s because Kiwami Shimano’s moveset is ripped straight from 0’s Mr. Shakedown.
The main problem with Kiwami bosses imo is the overuse of hyperarmor. Making Kiryu's attacks look pathetic.
@@adamharits2630 This. Even Majima breaker style in kiwami for some goddamn reason has hyperamor, even though it didnt have it in 0 (only for slugger but in 3rd gear). Same with Arase and Hideyoshi, for some reason both have hyperarmor without heat aura, something that happened only when the bosses had heat aura to give you warning they now have hyperarmor.
shits about to go down when the song has sirens as an instrument
Shimano is a really cool character
i love how after finding the lyrics this sounds like a high school nerd diss

I think if Nishki fight wasn't as dramatic and personal this could've been his theme honestly
One of my favorite boss themes in Yakuza, they should make battle much harder. Shimano was way too easy for having such a cool theme, at least Majima fight lived to the hype.
Sounds like a Need for Speed BGM
this would definitely work in Most Wanted
Just wanna throw this out here but why when I fight Mr. Shakedown, I hear this instead of his boss music?

I love how this is basically Yakuza DOOM music
at 0:14 it sounds like the beginning of "OH OH OH OOOH MY GOD! OH OH *are you recording?*"
IT DOES LOL i thought i was the only one
This version actually sounds ominous
This original track, and some of the other original tracks in general, feel kind of half baked and unpolished. But I do like the vocals and grunginess this has over revive. I think if the revive version had some more of the backing vocals and a little less of the electronic dubstep-ness it'd be perfect
2:13
at first when i heard i thought limp bizkit made it lol
