It’s… perfect. (Obligatory “Idea” - Give the ball normal physics, but when the ball comes to a stop or near standstill at the bottom, another ball is added and the circle gets smaller.)
1. The ball erases the whole white circle and speeds up over time. 2. The border shrinks, the trail gets longer, and the ball grows slightly every bounce. 3. The camera follows the ball and it gets bigger every bounce. 4. The border shrinks and the ball gets smaller and faster every bounce. 5. The border is a square that shrinks and tilts every bounce. 6. The side or the border the square hits gets closer to the center every bounce.
0:00 Ball gets faster every bounce until it turns everything to black 1:53 Border gets smaller, ball trail gets longer, ball gets faster and bigger every bounce until it fits perfectly 2:50 Ball gets bigger and faster every bounce but the camera follows the ball until it gets too big 4:32 Ball and border gets smaller every bounce until they collapse and form a black hole 5:46 Square border rotates and gets smaller every bounce until it can’t go any smaller 7:15 Square border’s line gets smaller where the square bounced until it crushes the square
This is the definition of “it’s about the journey, not the destination” The destination is boring, a single solid outcome like the circle being black. Watching it progress is the point and I love it
dude it makes me so happy watching these but SO MAD WHEN YOU MISS THAT LITTLE BIT UNTIL THE END LIKE IN THE FIRST CLIP but them i’m so happy when you get it🎀🎀
*Suggestion:* Three balls, one pink, one turquoise, and one indigo. The indigo ball is 1 1/2 times faster than the other two. They start bouncing around in a decagon. When the pink ball bounces, it takes away one side. When the turquoise ball bounces, it takes away two sides. When the indigo ball bounces, it adds three sides. The simulation keeps going until the shape the balls are bouncing in becomes one side. *I hope you see this comment. You don’t have to make this animation.* *I just hope you know that you are amazing.*
I’m grateful for this video as im trying to get over a very traumatic situation that i’ve never seen before.. And it’s helping me restore my mental balance.
I have an idea: The ball has afterimages that despawn after a couple seconds, but each bounce adds time to the despawn counter (eg: first bounce is 2 seconds of afterimages, next one is 2.05 seconds of afterimages). Could also add speed or size per bounce so it doesn’t last forever
I'd be interested in seeing one where the ball is bouncing in a square that tilts with every bounce, but the direction of the tilt changes depending on which wall the ball bounces off of, as if the bounce is imparting force to the square.
idea! make it so then there are two balls. every time they collide, 2 new balls are added with a random gravity. when a ball hits the left side gravity switches and adds another ring, and if a ball hits the right side gravity returns to normal and removes a ring.
You can add more balls and map them to a palette of different sound samples. For example, a drum-ball or something. These can be either in one or in different areas to let them collide with each other interfering each others beat
Some of these feel like the ball is specifically aiming towards certain points (especially the first video, when it suddenly changes direction), kind of like its... sentient. Anyone else think that? I hope it's not just me
fun little video but I found that the musical notes were totally arbitrary and did not follow any pattern other than when the ball made contact with the perimiter, some note, it did not matter what note, was played, where it hit and what note was played were not in sync at all. It is kind of like if you had a monkey banging on a keyboard and the corresponding music, corresponding with each bang the monkey made but somehow the background music was playing O Fortuna or whatever.... Kind of distracting really, but perhaps that's the point.
Interesting thing even as far back as Ancient Greece they had the “x will rot your brain” thing only back then it was books and scrolls will rot your brain
These are still just short form videos played one after another that irreversibly damage your attention span over the course of years. Edit: in other words, its adhd inducing, because it doesn’t focus on one thing long enough.
Do you like this longer video format? Feel free to comment what you would improve.
What is the software that you use? And yes long form videos are GREAT!
I love the long form videos
Keep the long videos coming. 😊
One idea: for the ones with a shrinking border, could you shrink the trail as well instead of just removing the overlapping circles

I know right
You aren’t the only one tbh. I find that satisfying-

It’s more of a star than a pentagram.
Well i mean they are drawn similarly
Its a pentagram, a star wouldn’t have the inner lines
You can still draw a star like that, but its a pentagram
Darn it, I knew I shouldve commented earlier

THE PLOT TWIST WHEN THE CIRCLE TURNED INTO A RECTANGLE 🤯🤯

i like systems that have conflicting forces. ideally a kind of oscilating equilibrium would form.
Finally a form of math that I can actually focus on
With some development, that could be a pretty fire song
This probably does actually cure attention span deficit

i think it just moves like a bouncy ball (that does not run out of velocity)
I think it might sometimes just so that the video isn't hours long.
What python library do you use to record the sounds, or do you have a custom one for that?
Dunno about that. Yes, its a long video, but its just a bunch of small ones clipped together
