Mr. V., Love your videos. Very informative. I agree that a great education involves watching how others fail.
One troublesome item I've have heard from you (in more than one video) is that you seem to get caught up in pricing jobs for what you plan to do, then discover a nightmare scenario after opening up the chimney flashing, for example. I have worked as a self employed carpenter for decades and want to share with you a "concealed condition clause" to be written in your contract. This means the price you plan to honor is for what you only plan to do, and if it becomes the "nightmare", you can explain (or send your video) to your client to show what the issues are. If you manage expectations and explain this to your client before they sign, they will respect (and may well expect) your assessment and upcharge.
Let me know of your interest and I can send you the wordage.

how do you feel about setting up gutters? especially solo work. Im a chimney sweep and work for a company and I always feel sketch setting up on gutters more than one story.

I'm only ever worried about breaking them. Seamless gutters are strong enough to hold anything I'm putting on them, but the plastic ones are junk. The first trip up the ladder, I put a pitch hopper under it, so I'm not bearing weight on the gutter.

Have you ever considered using HENRY/ MONSEY HE104Q027Quikdry 104Q Asphalt Spray Primer Quikdry Asphalt Spray Primer to prime both the flashing metal and bricks before applying the I&W shield? I saw in another video a roofer using that product to improve adherence. I like the flashing extending into the gutter. Great idea. Just by following your videos, do you think a DIYer can work with lead chimney flashing? Or should I leave it to the Pros.

I haven't tried the primer. It seems expensive, but someone else had mentioned it. I can tell you that the grace will not come off the metal, so it's not needed on the metal portion.
I do think someone can do their own flashing if they have the tools required. After all, most of the "pros" today are just DIY charging an absurd rate for poor work anyway. The work I see on a daily basis is embarrassing. The state of the trades is very sad.
