What a great machine and with that sweet sounding Perkins engine. The restoration was exceptionally good quality- well done to whoever carried it out 🤗
Tip of the cap to the man who put that tractor back to that condition. Mine is almost finished at @MasseyDaves and is now in similar shape. Can’t wait to get it home.
Stunning example, later model with the longer handbrake. Door handle needs replacing arguably, but she's not that original with the turbo anyway. Presume/hope it's a Dot 4 engine? Hopefully it's not just a paint job to make her pretty but damn, it brings back memories.
So simple ... so well built... raw power...perkins 6.354 ... it was some tractor in its day ...when great brittan built great tractors ...not like MF to day ... its sad to see how good looking the big mf 1200 was ... back in the late 70s ...well restored ..😊
A good re-furb. I was a MF trained mechanic back in 69, when 1200 appeared, almost all buyers were not happy with lack of power, Opico stepped forward with a turbo, after first one I fitted, turbo didnt alter power s much as i thought it might, I had a word with local diesel shop, simple, injector pump need boosting up a bit, more air with turbo, needs more fuel they told me, no looking back, I did 8 x1200 & 3 x1250's, hell could they pull, from a standard 100hp, they were a now respectable 138hp!
Only one word needed: BEAUTIFUL.

A REAL tractor without the distractions of fancy screens and buttons galore 👌🏼

why didn’t they consider rear fenders from the 100 series, making slight adjustments on them on these tractors ??!
