    Quase um contrabaixo guitarrístico. Sensacional.

Gear I didn’t know I needed. I needed a small home practice amp and was super into the HiWatt tone. I found Reeves amps and ordered the 6 watt 1x12 combo. Played my Les Paul through it wide open and nailed early AC/DC tone out of the box. The new version is 12 watts available as a head or 1x12 combo. I’m not a sales rep, but I’d sure love the job.

She looks great and sounds awesome. 🙂
But let's be real here. You could make a cat food can and a piece of string sound awesome. 🫡
    Thanks so much Jay

There's something wonderful about the baritone when someone who can _really_ play picks one up

Your funky playing made me think of Mark Lettieri when he plays a baritone. You have great taste in your playing.

That is an awesome sounding guitar, 2 in 1! Good job as always with your playing. Can I ask you how has your practice evolved over time? Thanks!

When it comes to getting better at something new, I'll make a promise to myself to perform something with that technique (or idea) at a highlight moment of a bigger show. That way I have a hard deadline to get it done and I have to make sure I can do it under pressure.
After that, the practice part is easy, the panic and anxiety makes my brain subconsciously figure out the best routine for to me to make that goal happen and my prep sessions are much more focused and targeted :)
I'm not sure if that helps at all, but that is what has worked for me in the past with my development.

Hey Jay, hope all is well! When you're playing your funk style, what kind of pick do you use? Love, Love, Love your playing style!!! Love the demo song you done for the Boss RC10R Looper. Wish you had it on Spotify. I could listen to it all day. I learned it so I could practice getting my looper skills better. But I've been curious about your strings and your picks! I try the rhythm drum picking (strumming), but i think my picks may be too thick. Always end up getting caught in the strings, or flying out of my hand. Thanks, and keep up the Amazing playing.....

I use Steve Clayton Acetal 0.8mm or Dunlop Tortex 0.73 picks. My strings are Stringjoy Signatures in 10-48 :)

neck pikcup sounded wonderfully jazzy, bridge was ultra twang territory like some dirty Tom Waits stuff, but the middle position’s where it’s at for me. Has the midrange of a bass without having all the low end, allowing you to get really creative and expansive. Sounded almost like slap bass in the demo.

The Slap Sound is what floored me: really versatile box :)

Well shit any guitar you play you make sound fantastic and if I ever was good enough to be a solo artist and could pick who I wanted for a guitarist you would be my first pick for sure but alas someone who writes in so many different styles that it's not to marketable cause you can't really put it in one kinda box really except for my pop punk leanings I guess it's at the core of everything in a way.that sounds great though the scale looks a lot easier to take on then a bass vi though I'm usually a bass player by trade being able to utilize both skills from bass and guitar was what I was hoping for outta my bass vi but it's super weak pickups and not too smooth fretboard makes it more of a bass that's not quite good sounding enough to fill that role so it just sits as a studio extra for my ghetto ass semi studio setup lol
